Stone Pony isn’t traveling far to join us—it’s a Saugerties original.

The Stone Pony story began in 2002 with a small delicatessen on Kings Highway. Under proprietor John Livermore, it grew into a full-service catering company serving everything from private dinners and community fundraisers to milestone celebrations throughout the Hudson Valley.

At the festival, Stone Pony will be dishing up garlic chicken wraps, slow-cooked pulled pork, and classic festival-style turkey legs. Whether you want something garlicky, smoky, or satisfyingly hearty, this hometown favorite has you covered.

Rockerbox Spice Co. began with a simple question: Why didn’t store-bought garlic powder taste like real garlic? Coming from a family of garlic farmers, founder Raema Frost knew it could be bolder. So in 2012, she started making her own pure garlic “dust,” with no fillers and no shortcuts.

Jewelry can be more than an accessory — it can carry memories of places, people and experiences.

Saugerties jewelry artist Kaja Dedijer is the GIA Certified Gemologist behind Biti Besha Jewelry. She creates one-of-a-kind pieces using precious and semi-precious gemstones, sterling silver and gold-filled metals, with designs inspired by travel, discovery and special moments.

Kaja works with gemstones from New York State and around the world, carefully selecting stones and materials for each design. She also welcomes custom work, giving customers the opportunity to create something especially personal.

And because this is the Garlic Festival, be on the lookout for some garlic-inspired pieces among her creations.

Dutch Country Hand-Rolled Soft Pretzels brings a family recipe perfected over many years from Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, to Saugerties. What began as a popular pretzel trailer grew into a hometown shop, but the focus remains the same: hand-rolled pretzels made fresh and served with plenty of old-fashioned care.

Maybe you’ve been coming to the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival for years. You’ve brought friends, family, and probably introduced more than a few people to one of Saugerties’ favorite weekends.

This year, come experience the Festival from the other side — volunteer with us!

It takes a few hundred volunteers to make the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival happen.

We’re especially looking for people to help with Security and Zero Waste!

And when you volunteer, you’re doing more than helping put on a great weekend. The Hudson Valley Garlic Festival is an all-volunteer event, and the money raised goes right back into Saugerties and our surrounding communities through the Kiwanis Club of Saugerties.

Your skin deserves a little festival shopping too.

Merriweather’s has been creating all-natural soaps and skincare in the Hudson Valley for decades. What began as a small line of soaps and creams sold at local farmers markets has grown into an extensive collection of handcrafted products and a popular shop in Rhinebeck.

Their products are made with natural vegetable and nut oils, herbs and pure essential oils, with soaps that are hand-cut and creams and skincare products produced in small batches. How Many Garlic Varieties Can You Name?

At Salvere Garlic Farm, the answer is quite a few.

They’ll be bringing an impressive selection to the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival, including Chesnok Red, Georgian Fire, German Red, German White, Khabar, Metechi, Music, New York White, Russian Red and Spanish Roja.

And if all that garlic isn’t enough to explore, they’ll also have French gray shallots and garlic braids.

One of the great things about buying directly from garlic growers is discovering that garlic isn’t just garlic. Different varieties bring their own flavors and characteristics — and the festival is the perfect place to explore them.
