Good morning, everyone! I wanted to take a moment to update you all on our journey since the accident. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for your love and support during this challenging time. Normally, we'd be taking a break between our June festival in Cherokee and our next event in August in Marion, NC. However, this year has been different. We've been working tirelessly to prepare and recover from our losses.
I have to say, it's been a wild ride building a business in the music industry, where the odds are against us from the start. But we've never let that stop us. And this year, we've come to realize just how far we've come. The biggest reward hasn't been the success or the accolades, but the relationships we've built with all of you. When we started our festival venture, it was about the love of music. But as we grew, we had to choose between being performers or promoters. We chose the latter, and it's been an incredible journey. We've created a family, not just a festival. And our staff has been instrumental in making that happen.
This week, we're gearing up for our return to the mountains, which is always a challenge. As nervous as we are getting back in the saddle, we are thinking about how much we miss you all.
You're the reason we do what we do and your friendship is clearly our biggest reward. We cannot wait to see you and thank you in person.
Please keep the family of the Nelons in your thoughts and prayers after their tragic loss." This week on the way to perform. There are great rewards but they do not come without risks. We had the pleasure to meet them more than 20 years ago and occasionally perform with them, they were such sweet people. We cannot stop thinking about them.
