Memorial Day is more than a long weekend.
For many of us veterans, it’s a reminder of the brothers and sisters who never made it home.

Today, I remember the sacrifices, the laughter, the stories, and the empty seats left behind.
Freedom has a cost, and some gave everything.

We honor them by living with gratitude, loving our families well, and never forgetting their sacrifice.

Gone, but never forgotten.

🇺🇸 VETERANS RETREAT – A FEW OPENINGS REMAIN 🇺🇸
We have just a couple spots still available for our upcoming Veterans Equine Assisted Healing Retreat at Gaits of Hope. May 29 - 31
This is not recreational horseback riding or simply “hanging out with horses.”
This is structured, guided equine-assisted healing work designed to help veterans reduce symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, hypervigilance, anger, isolation, and stress responses in powerful and lasting ways.
The horses reflect what is happening internally — often revealing patterns, emotions, survival responses, and beliefs that words alone cannot reach. Through guided experiences, veterans begin reconnecting with themselves, rebuilding trust, confidence, grounding, and peace.
Veterans consistently tell us this work has changed their lives in ways traditional approaches could not. ❤️🇺🇸

Gaits of Hope Equine Assisted Therapy & Learning is an amazing organization. Helping Veterans through equine healing. Free to Veterans. Please contact them for assistance.

Some veterans come to Gaits of Hope carrying years of survival mode.
Hypervigilance. Anger. Numbness. Isolation. Sleepless nights. Feeling disconnected from themselves, their families, or even purpose.
What makes this work different is that horses respond honestly to what someone is carrying internally. Not the mask. Not the story. The nervous system underneath it all.
And when that awareness is met with the right guidance, something begins to shift.
More calm. More grounding. More connection. More control over reactions. More peace.
Healing does not always happen through talking more. Sometimes it begins by finally feeling safe enough to reconnect with yourself.
Our Veterans Retreat is coming up this weekend. A few spots are still available.

Our 9th Annual Veterans Day Celebration will be held on Friday November 13th, 2026. Registration link is open (use the QR code or link below to register). Share and invite fellow Veterans, Service members, and families. We'd love to see you all in attendance.
Kids are welcome as we will have an amazing Military Kids special service during our Community Partners (Resource) time.
