The time has come to announce that we will be canceling the 2026 10th Anniversary Saratoga Skijoring. This was an incredibly difficult decision, but with the forecast showing no signs of improvement, we simply don’t have the conditions needed to race safely.

We look forward to seeing everyone back in February 2027! Thank you all for the amazing support—you truly make this event what it is.

Happy new year!!! We will be holding off registration for a couple more days as we try to get rolling into the new year! We are seeing a high number of people wanting to come to our 10th anniversary race so we have decided to reach out to past competitors first! We will then open the remaining slots on January 8th. Cheers to the new year and we will be in touch!! Look for more information in the days to come.

We are all set for a great weekend at the 9th Annual Saratoga Skijoring Races.

💥FRIDAY
- Competitor Welcome Party and Registration - Back Room of the Hotel Wolf 5-8 PM

💥SATURDAY
- Volunteer & Safety Meeting at 9:30 AM (If you’d like to volunteer, please come to this!)
- Competitor Meeting 10:00 AM
- Saturday Races Begin at 10:30 AM (JUNIOR, NOVICE, SPORT, OPEN)
- Post Race Fun: 8:00 PM Calcutta - Hotel Wolf.

💥SUNDAY
- Volunteer Meeting at 8:45 AM (If you’d like to volunteer, please come to this!)
- Competitor Meeting 9:00 AM
- Sunday Races Begin at 9:30 AM (JUNIOR, NOVICE, SPORT, OPEN)
- Post Race Fun: Immediately after the conclusion of the races- Awards Ceremony Party at the Hotel Wolf

💥SPECTATORS
- General Admission to the races is $5 per person, kids 12 and under are free - pay as you enter the parking area.
- Bring chairs, dress warm and prepare to tailgate like you would at a football game. Food trucks/beverages will also be on-site.
- For safety reasons, NO DOGS allowed outside of vehicles at the race venue. Pets must remain inside cab of vehicles. No aerial drones allowed.
- There is NO LIVE STREAM of this event. Do not click on any links claiming to be a live stream. It is not legitimate. The ONLY way to see the action is in person. Races wrap up late afternoon both days (usually around 3 p.m. or so.)

🚨UPDATED START TIME: RACES BEGIN AT 10:30 AM SATURDAY & 9:30 AM SUNDAY!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We’re looking for people to hold up penalty flags when skiers go off course, replace rings on the course after skiers pick them up, and help out at the start/finish lines. No prior experience needed!

It’s a fun way to be part of the action at the Saratoga Skijoring Races on Feb. 1-2! Volunteer for just a couple hours or stay all day... your help is appreciated!

Here’s a few tips for watching the Saratoga Skijoring Races coming up Feb. 1-2:

Think tailgating at a football game. Dress warm, bring chairs and prepare to hang out outdoors for a few hours while you watch the most exciting sport on snow.

Food and beverage trucks on site.

No dogs allowed outside of vehicles at the race venue. Pets must remain inside cab of vehicles.
No aerial drones allowed.

Other than that, have a good time!
