About Sarasota Chorus of the Keys
Sarasota Chorus of the Keys is a membership organization of gentlemen singers, who meet regularly to practice, perform, socialize, and have fun. We currently have over 40 singers of all walks of life, and all parts of the Sarasota area. Performance

The main purpose of Sarasota Chorus of the Keys is to get out and sing for our community. We sing at annual shows, a

number of community events, and at annual competitions. We also perform Singing Telegrams around Valentines Day and Mother's Day. If you're looking for a unique musical experience to liven up your event, please check out our Hire Us section. Education
In addition to sharing our music with others, another great passion of ours is learning more about the art of acapella singing. Vocal instruction is a regular part of chorus rehearsals, and a very important component of the chorus experience. A couple of times a year, we will get coaching from a visiting master in the art of barbershop, where we learn many fabulous tricks of the trade. Competition
In the spring and fall of every year, Sarasota Chorus of the Keys participates in the Sunshine District chorus competition. Competitions are a special time for quartets and choruses from our region to come together to sing for each other, and get some constructive feedback from a panel of judges. The winners of the regional competition in both quartet and chorus categories get to travel to International Competition, which is held in the fall in a city selected each year. Most choruses have a number of members who form their own vocal quartets in addition to singing with the chorus. Sarasota Chorus of the Keys currently is home to a number of wonderful quartets, and we are very proud of them! Click here to see our quartet section to learn more about them. Affiliation
Sarasota Chorus of the Keys is a chapter of Barbershop Harmony Society, a non-profit organization of approximately 25,000 members in choruses and quartets, worldwide. The Headquarters is in Nashville, TN.

June 4–6 at University of South Florida (Tampa)

At noon, the 2026 Giving Challenge officially begins — and for the next 24 hours, our community has a remarkable opportunity to come together in support of the nonprofit organizations that make Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee, and Sarasota counties such a special place to live, work, and grow.

Nearly 750 nonprofit organizations across our four-county region are participating this year, each with a profile on The Giving Partner, an online directory that helps donors make informed decisions by sharing each organization's mission, leadership, financials, and commitment to transparency.

The Patterson Foundation is strengthening giving during the 2026 Giving Challenge with a 1:1 match on all unique donations between $25 and $100 per donor, per nonprofit organization — with no limit on the number of matches an organization can receive.
