An Open Letter From Larry White:
To My Friends and Patrons ,
Many years ago I had a vision of sharing all the classic artifacts and memorabilia that I have been collecting for so long with more people somehow. That vision became Signs of the Times Event Center.
I had no idea at that time it would turn into as much a beloved place for our customers and also the Sapulpa business community as it has, for this I am honestly humbled.
Since March 2014, I have hosted Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings and Receptions, Christmas Parties, Class Reunions, City Functions, Business Meetings, Election Watch Parties (of which we had 100% winners!) and many other events.
I have always thanked God for the guidance he provided me in this endeavor and I trusted Him to guide me through the decision that it was time to move on.
I do want to give a special thanks to my event manager Jim Magee. He has worked endlessly to make sure the needs of our event holders were met and often exceded. His knowledge in areas often unnoticed but necessary have helped greatly in the success of the venue. I couldn't have done it without him.
I can never thank you all enough for the great times I have had at Signs of the Times, but, rest assured I am planning something new and different.
Again, I thank God and I thank you all for your support of Signs of the Times Event Center, I truly send you all my love.

Sincerely,
Larry D. White

To Our Dear Friends and Valued Clients:

Regrettably and with great sadness, as of March 1, 2020, we will no longer be offering Signs of the Times as an event facility. We want to thank you all for the great times we have had hosting your parties and celebrations, but at this time, we feel the need to reassess our future goals and will be exploring other options for displaying our prized collection. To all who have had the experience to enjoy our collection of the best of a time long gone, we thank you for your patronage.

To quell any rumors, our building has been sold to an excellent architectural group, Sparks Reed Architecture and Interiors https://www.sparksreed.com/ who wish to move their offices from Tulsa to Sapulpa which will add another great addition to the Sapulpa business community.

Their ideas for improvement of our property while maintaining the historic preservation of the building makes us confident that we are turning over one of Sapulpa’s great landmarks to people that care about the history of our community.

Again, we can’t thank you all enough for the great times you have given us!

Sincerely,

Larry and Jim

Enjoy a look back at Sparks Reed's achievements in 2019!

AND THE WINNER FOR FURTHEST TRAVELED IS.......
We had some special guests drop in to check out the event center this Sunday. Liz and Chris Van Tiel from Drury, New Zealand are road tripping around the U.S. and found us! They are collector and memorabilia nuts too and we had a great visit. We wish them safe travels and a return visit anytime!

Come on out for our next OPEN HOUSE on Sunday, November 8th. Our 3rd "Sunday Fund Day" will be raising money to help RESKU International, a Sapulpa based organization. Our soda jerks will be serving all the usual goodies! Come and see us from 1:00 till 3:00 in the afternoon!

We've had some great parties and events in the last few weeks with some pics and videos coming soon. But, coming up is another open house "Sunday Fund Day". This time we are sponsoring RSVP, Retired Seniors Volunteer Program. We will be serving our hot dogs, corn dogs, popcorn, snow cones and soda. Please come out and help us help RSVP.

What is RSVP?

RSVP is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 and over. You can use the skills and talents you’ve learned over the years, or develop new ones while serving in a variety of volunteer activities within your community.

Service opportunities are as diverse as the communities in which volunteers serve and may include:
•Organizing neighborhood watch programs
•Tutoring and mentoring disadvantaged or disabled youth
•Renovating homes
•Teaching English to immigrants
•Assisting victims of natural disasters

RSVP volunteers choose how, where, and how often they want to serve, with commitments ranging from a few hours to 40 hours per week.

Volunteers receive pre-service orientation, training from the organization where they will serve, and supplemental insurance while on duty. RSVP volunteers do not receive monetary incentives, but sponsoring organizations may reimburse them for some costs incurred during service.

Take just a little time out of your day on October 4th and munch on some goodies and learn about, volunteer or donate to a very worthy cause!

A big THANKS to everyone that came out to see us at our first open house and fund raiser for CASA. It was a great success. We helped them raise some much needed funds and recruit four new child advocates!
