You may ask yourself, "What is Flute Rock Friday?". Or you may not ask yourself. You may also ask yourself, "How did I get here?" Well, we can't answer that, but we've got great news for the curious: Flute Rock Friday is an all ages forum that takes place (nearly) every Friday night. You might have some questions: Why flutes, you may ask? Well first off, because flutes rock. No other instrument says ROCK like a flute, right? Right? OK, so some of you might disagree. There is that other instrument called the "guitar", but it's just there to support the flutes awesomeness. Just ask Ian Anderson, founding member of Jethro Tull. His amazing one legged flute antics have been rockin' the music world for 3 decades. He says, and I quote loosely, "Flute Rock Friday is the one true, official forum for Flute Rock in the United States, and we are lucky to have them spreading the gospel." There you have it, a genuine (maybe not genuine, but heartfelt) endorsement from a Flute Rock heavyweight. Next you might ask, "Why Friday, what if it was on Saturday, would it still be Flute Rock Friday?" The answer is no, if it were on Saturday, it would be Sax Rock Saturday, and we'd be heavily endorsing Supertramp and their superlative Sax Rock. Alas, that is not our forte. Others may ask, "Do you only play Flute Rock on Flute Rock Friday?" No, because we'd run out of music to play pretty quickly. We are open to all forms of Rock, even those without heavenly flute. So, we hope this clears up some fundamental questions. Please feel free to submit any Flute Rock queries to this official page and we'll do our best to answer truthfully. Until next Friday, salute the flute.
