“What a fantastic workshop we were treated to at White Sands National Monument. Thank you, Craig and Cindy, for sharing this wonderful adventure with us and for being so patient. We carried home memories that will last a lifetime. Our eyes were opened to things that we had not seen before.

"White Sands is a magical place. I had a great time this spring as part of a small workshop group shooting with Craig in this minimalist place yet so rich in photographic opportunities. Craig’s deep knowledge of White Sands, his vast experience in photography, his natural talent for teaching, his laughter, sense of humor and easy going personality made the workshop a success for me. David S. from California is one of our current mentoring students whose work reaches beyond capturing the single moment—the fraction of a second with his camera to capturing lingering and longer moments within a single photograph. "White Sands National Monument; a vast area of continuous white dunes, surprising plants and beautiful light. After you cross the first couple of dunes from the park road, you find yourself amongst a continuous flow of sand and high ridges of light and shadow. The fine gypsum granules flow with the wind, continuously changing the landscape. It is easy to get lost in its beauty and easy to find yourself physically lost as well. The light continuously changes the pattern and perception of the distance in the dunes. Craig and his assistant there to guide us.

Craig has a passion for photography, decades of experience and a willingness to share his knowledge with others. He loves the White Sands of New Mexico. His workshop was excellent. A small group gave all of us access to Craig. He was there to answer questions and to lead us to the best spots at the best light. Craig is a great guy and makes friends with a smile and a handshake. He is continuously in search of making the workshop the best experience possible. He succeeded."
