News Flash, postponed to Sept. 20!

Check this out, as a special educational feature after the August X Games, we'll have a conditioning and pace clinic so you can develop a sense of what each level's MPM pace really feels like and whether you and your horse are fit enough to maintain it safely! It will be after the last Show Jumping round goes, so plan to stay and learn, either mounted or unmounted!

Well, the June X Games weekend wrapped up with a bang, just in time for the 4th of July! Big, big thanks to all of our wonderful riders, trainers and supportive families for coming to our show, and really huge thanks to our intrepid volunteer crew that makes it all run!

Tom Angle got out there and spent hours and hours working the footing, setting XC and prepping the new show jump field (aided by the amazing Diego Baca), and judge Terri Buzan provided key tips and encouragement to every rider! Jeffray Ryding coordinated and planned and designed like a star. Holly Ourisman, Krissie Pardue and Maureen Mestas got the show office in shape, Laura Kober and the dressage setup gang were amazing, HIPICO Santa Fe loaned us wonderfully bright jump poles for warmup and SJ, and Los Alamos Pony Club provided the new dressage arena, so many thanks to them as well. And of course our thanks go out, as always, to Wyatt Mortenson and his dad Clint, the owners of Double Diamond Ranch and the folks we depend on to let us run all over the property every time!

I didn’t get many pictures today, but it was a good start to the weekend and Friday’s rain made the ground perfect. Schooling courses, practicing dressage and the NMDA schooling score all wrapped up before the wind blew us to Kansas, and tomorrow we have an early start again to beat the gusts!
