Say Santa Fe folk... We are having a free movie night tonight, and every Monday night at 6:30pm at the Mosaic Music & Arts Cafe. We're showing Season 1, episodes 3 & 4 of The Chosen. We'll have popcorn and other goodies and even some hot soup (while it lasts) if you haven't had supper yet. We had a blast last week. Come join us.

Hey all you Santa Fe folks. Come join us at the Mosaic Music & Arts Cafe this Saturday for our Karaoke Night. We'll have our regular gourmet coffees & Teas and Italian Sodas & French Cream Sodas. But most of all we'll be serving up a lot of fun.

Things are ramping up as the summer is just around the corner. We are still having our regular Karaoke the second Friday and our Open Mic the 4th Friday (TONIGHT!!!) which are always fun, but we also have a very special "Mosaic Spring Tea" on May 18th. It will be a fundraiser as we continue to improve the building but also a very posh English high tea like event with yummy food and very cool door prizes. Come join us for the fun while supporting "Mosaic Music & Arts Cafe"

My REAL BIRTHDAY is coming up on February 29th. I’ve been waiting FOUR YEARS for this. I have decided to have my birthday fundraiser to be for our missionary in Nagaland, India, MC Mwchang Jamatia, who needs a new motorcycle. It’s his only form of transportation. His ministry is to bikers in Nagaland. My goal is $6000. You can donate at YWAMSantaFe.org and Note it’s for the Jamatias. Thank you for helping with this very worthy project. Hey Santa Fe folks.... We're having another Open Mic at the Mosaic Music & Arts Cafe. This one is sure to be special as my good friends and former music staff in Amsterdam, Fred & Mary Dallenbach will be there to share some songs. I've heard that 9yr old Emily may be back too. It's really fun to hear everybody's music. Always great coffee too. Hope you can join us.

We had so much fun in June as we held a concert in Karen Lafferty’s backyard. It featured Gleewood ( Jhett & Callie Sioux Schiavone). After a welcome
From Karen and opening with her “New Mexico Song”, the local musicians John & Diane Gibbs, with Justin Bransford On upright bass, shared a crowd pleasing set of many self composed songs. The combination of professionalism and personal connection with the audience from Gleewood made for a magic evening of good music for the neighbors and friends who attended. The concert can still be viewed here. SCAC hopes to have at least one more of these Intimate Backyard concerts while the warm weather is still here to enjoy.

Part of what SCAC wants to do is educate the populous about various cultures. As we are based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, we particularly want visitors to our social media sites, events and eventually our location to understand and enjoy the rich cultures and history we have. Like everywhere, some of our history is hard and there were injustices done; but there were also good things that have helped shape this unique city. We believe looking at these things can help us learn how to live in understanding and peace with each other now and in the future.

Much of America is in turmoil as I write this. Our city of Santa Fe has been affected as well. I was very please to discover this very informative documentary on the history of Santa Fe and how some of it has not been properly represented to the public. Thank you, Eli Bransford, for helping us understand our history better. I encourage our FaceBook friends to watch it all the way through and seriously consider how you need to respond to this information.

UPDATE: Thank you, to those who have been praying SCAC will raise the funds needed to secure a location to Launch the art center. We are working hard on finishing the business plan and proposal to present to churches and foundations. Would love to see this happen in 2020.
