Community Update 🌿
Far West Fungi has not sold Yellow Oyster mushrooms at our stores for quite some time, and we’ve now ended production and removed all Yellow Oyster cultivation options from our website as well.

We made this decision based on recent research and community feedback. We prioritize biodiversity and always strive to do what’s best for our planet.

Please note that this change will include a transition period. Many of our existing images still feature Yellow Oysters. This doesn’t change the fact that we have officially ended production.

Thank you to everyone who brought this to our attention! We appreciate your support and shared commitment to sustainability. 🍄💚💛

We’ve loved celebrating with you at the Santa Cruz Mountain Mushroom Festival these past two years! While Far West Fungi won’t be hosting the festival going forward, we’re continuing to grow new ways to connect, learn, and taste together. 🌿

Join us every Thursday (2–5PM) at our Santa Cruz Store & Café for MycoMixers — fun community tastings, freebies, and mushroom-inspired experiences. 🙌

It’s with heavy hearts that we share that Mushroom Daze and the Mushroom Masquerade will not be happening this year.

We absolutely loved celebrating with you last year, but the response wasn’t quite strong enough to make it happen. Full refunds will be sent.

We’re so grateful for your support and mushroom enthusiasm - and we’re already dreaming up the next fun experience for you! 🍄💛
