Behind the Bib Series 🧷

As we continue our Behind the Bib Series, we’re spotlighting the runners, families, and community members who make the Shake Up Shuffle so much more than just a race.

Today, we’re featuring Allison, who joined us for her first Shake Up Shuffle this year. For her, Race Day was about more than crossing the finish line. It was about getting back to something she loves, sharing the day with friends, and making memories along the way.

“I was really excited to participate in my first Shake Up Shuffle this year with some of my run club: Park to Park Pacesetters! We all decided to sign up for some end of summer fun and this race was nice and close to us. This was my first race back coming back from a long winded knee injury, so I already knew it was going to be a special one. I race for the friends and the memories, and this race sure gave those two things. With my club by my side, we really enjoyed the atmosphere…especially that finish line. Nothing like an ice cold lemon shake up waiting for you at the end. It was such a pleasure to see everyone in the community come out and even see some of our members place for awards. Definitely a sweet day!”

A first race back. Friends by her side. A community coming together. And an ICE COLD Lemonade Shake Up waiting at the finish line. 🍋

2027 Theme Loading 👀

Did you know that we start designing our shirts and medals several months before registration opens!?

From the very first sketches to the final product, there are so many ideas, revisions, and little details that go into creating something we hope you’ll be excited to wear and collect.

The Fourth Annual Shake Up Shuffle is already taking shape behind the scenes, and we have some pretty fun ideas in the works.

Thank YOU 💛

And just like that, the 2026 Sandwich Fair season has come to a close, and we’re once again overwhelmed by the support of this community.

Four years ago, the Shake Up Shuffle was just an idea around a dinner table and we never could have imagined what it would become.

For the third year in a row, this race sold out, but what means even more than the number is seeing how this community continues to make the Shake Up Shuffle its own.

More families. More local businesses. More volunteers. More people coming together to make this little hometown race something really special.

To our volunteers, sponsors, partners, local businesses, and everyone who gave their time, energy, and support - THANK YOU. And to every person who showed up to run, walk, push a stroller, cheer someone on, or simply enjoy a morning at the Sandwich Fairgrounds - THANK YOU.

This race belongs to this community, and we’re incredibly grateful that you’re a part of it.

Ready to do it all again in 2027?

A few quick race day reminders before we kick off the 2026 Shake Up Shuffle:

📸 Come photo ready. Our photo booths will be available to you throughout the event.

⏰ Arrive early to allow plenty of time for parking, packet pickup, and getting to the start line stress free.

🧷 Came to Pre Race Packet Pickup? Don’t forget to bring your race bib with you tomorrow morning.

🏆 The fun doesn’t stop at the finish line. Stick around for awards, snacks, lemonade shake ups, and all the post race fun.

SOLD OUT 😮

The 2026 Shake Up Shuffle is officially SOLD OUT.

We are once again overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our community.

Following a 1,000 participant sell out in 2025, we capped our 2026 event at 1,250 participants.

As we continue to intentionally scale the growth of the Shake Up Shuffle, our focus remains on creating the best possible race day experience for our participants.

We will continue to evaluate additional growth opportunities moving forward, but for now, simply want to take a moment to say thank you.

We cannot wait to see you all at the Third Annual Sandwich Fair Shake Up Shuffle this Labor Day.

We’re happy to help facilitate legitimate registration transfers, but please email us directly before exchanging payment or registration information. Let’s Talk Race Bibs 🧷

Your race bib is more than just a number.

Wearing your race bib:

🏃🏽Tracks Your Time (Hello, Extra Awards 🥇)
🏃🏻‍♂️Acts as Your Finishers Medal Token
🏃🏾‍♀️Acts as Your Lemonade Shake Up Token

Most importantly:
👉🏼 Your bib MUST be visible and attached to your outermost layer of clothing.

That means:
✅ Front of Shirt or Jacket
✅ Clearly Visible at the Start and Finish Line
❌ Not Under Sweatshirts
❌ Not Tucked into Pockets

Each bib contains an individual timing chip, so your official race time begins when YOU cross the start line timing mats - not when the first runner starts.

You’ll receive your bib and safety pins at Packet Pickup.

If you’ve been around the Shake Up Shuffle for a while, you already know our Swag Bags are one of the most popular parts of race weekend, and this year, they’re packed with even MORE to be excited about.

We’re incredibly grateful to the amazing brands who stepped up to help make that happen.
