A State qualifier last year as a 9th grader; the 185-pounder is looking like she'll be making a solid run at the podium in 2026 as she remained perfect (15-0) after claiming the hardware at the Lockport Girls Tournament...

Seeded 2nd in the bracket; Vetter-Higgins banked one of the biggest wins of her career when she jumped out to a 5-0 cushion before sticking returning State 5th, 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐲𝐚`𝐉 𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 (Lockport), in a time of 1:42....

In the semis, she'd strike for the last four points of the 2nd period to pick up a 4-1 decision against 2024 State Qualifier, 𝐑𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫, of Clarence!!

Vetter-Higgins has now logged tournament wins at three separate events---Knuutila Memorial, Chautauqua Lake Invitational, and the Lockport!

Defying his seed on a routine basis; the Lackawanna sophomore lightweight followed up wins at the Knuutila (3rd seed) and 57th Akron Holiday tournament by winning the 118-pound crown this past weekend at the 32nd Lockport Tourney...

Again finding himself on the #3 line; the returning Sectional Bronze medalist registered takedowns in each of the three periods to emerge with a 9-7 decision over 2025 DI State 8th/top-seeded, 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐫 (Niagara Falls)...
