Practical innovation happens when makers and nurses build solutions side by side.

Today, May 1st, is the Maker Faire generate event in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Bringing together the Maker community and nursing students working alongside healthcare innovators to design, test, and prototype real tools inside a hospital makerspace.

During the pandemic, makers around the world stepped up to help hospitals solve urgent challenges, from rapid prototyping PPE to designing devices that made care safer and more efficient. That same spirit of DIY problem-solving in medicine continues today.
