Country Estates, San Marcos, Texas The course for the Kids Run is a 0.86 mile loop.

The 12th Annual Country Roads 10K & Kids Run is the oldest 10K in San Marcos, Tx – the Heart of the Texas Hill Country. We offer a challenging course in a closed-in, country-like subdivision, a great Tech-shirt, and some nice door prizes in addition to the awards. And, the course is managed by experienced volunteers from the San Marcos Runners Club; a race put on by runners for everyone! The 10K r

ace is on a gently rolling (our nice way of saying challenging), certified course located entirely within the scenic Country Estates subdivision. Runners will be challenged by the last 1.5 miles of the course, which is a constant, slight and steady uphill grade. Along the course, you may occasionally see the local deer population, also out for their morning run! As the annual fundraising event for the San Marcos Runners Club, the proceeds from the Country Roads 10K & Kids Run support SMRC projects and activities promoting exercise, fitness and healthy lifestyles in our community. The SMRC organizes and manages race events at no charge for many local nonprofit charities and service organizations in their fundraising efforts, and uses these proceeds to cover the expenses involved; so your donation ultimately benefits these groups.

Big thanks to all the volunteers and runners and
sponsors yesterday at the 15th annual CR10K!

Great showing this year from the SMHS Running Rattlers. Good job resetting the course record Coach Michael Morris at 34:08. Nice work out there.

Rain or shine, still a guts race! We will start promptly at 8 and have everyone on their way in time for the Mermaid parade. New this year we will have an awards table and give out awards as soon as we have solid results for age group winners. This will be fun.
