Alpha Male Across America

Alpha Male Across America Home of Alpha Male Across America. To promote the art of Brazilian jiu-jitsu I will be riding my motorcycle from coast to coast and back in my gi.

This is the home of Alpha Male Across America, sponsored by Vulkan Fight Company and North American Grapplers Assocoation (NAGA). To promote awareness for the art of Brazilian jiu-jitsu I will be riding my 2003 Harley-Davidson Sportster from coast to coast and back in my gi provided by Vulkan Fight Company. North American Grapplers Association(NAGA) has also been a generous sponsor to this cause.

In 1903 George A Wyman became the first man to ride a motorcycle across America. He completed this feat before it had even been done in a car. In 1929 a 16 year old Helio Gracie began developing Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Jiu-jitsu would eventually grow world wide and be considered one of , if not the most effective martial art in the world. Until now the motorcycling and jiu-jitsu communities have never been directly connected. On September 27th, 2014 that will all change as the Alpha Male Across America armbars, and chokes this great country into submission. Alpha Male Across America will take 1 man, 1 motorcycle, and 1 Vulkan gi from Massachusetts to the Pacific Ocean and back to the Atlantic Ocean. Please join me on this odyssey as I update this page throughout the journey with photos and stories from the road. And most importantly, please support my sponsors. Wear a Vulkan gi to the next NAGA tournament in your area. Two great names in the BJJ world and generous sponsors.

So, contrary to what some may think the Alpha Male Across America experience was one of the greatest weeks of my life. All too often we allow something negative to consume our perception of things on a larger level. Yes my bike was stolen half way through the trip, but that's only part of the story. A dude gave me a free cup of coffee in Salt Lake City, had a good laugh with an elevator repair man in Sioux Falls, met a friendly lady working at a gas station just before the Continental Divide, spent an hour chatting with a NV corrections facility rabbi, and a whole bunch more. Spent a night with my cousin, and a few with old friends. Also watched a good friend marry his dream girl. I spent a couple thousand miles by myself but not alone. I was an anonymous stranger for 5 days and felt welcomed everywhere I went. This is who we are in America. We have some jerks but I met friendly people everywhere I went. This whole experience confirmed to me how much hope there really is for America. We're all pretty similar and for the most part wish well on random strangers. Don't be a cynic, you can usually find what you're looking for so look for something awesome. America is awesome and the people are good. Don't put off your adventures, make them happen. Life is short, don't regret missed opportunities. Get out there. Im sitting in an

Another day in the books, another state added to the helmet.

NV- you were a cool place to drive through. My first time seeing tumble w**d. You are vastly open with mountains in the distance. Your highways have some cool parts but you are mostly flat and straight. You can stand pretty much anywhere and be in arms length of a casino or slot machine. I will be back NV, tomorrow actually.

CA- So far you rock. San Francisco is very cool and the highways getting here are a blast to ride. On Rte. 80 the scenery changes within a half mile of entering the state. CA, you're mountains are cool, and they love pine trees. I'm yours for another day CA, let's do this!
