Despite current events that challenge one's faith in humanity, there is this--a sculpture made in 1978 by my uncle Bill Heise for my grandparents' 40th anniversary, which was stolen from my Vermont shop last October, has miraculously reappeared! Many thanks to the nearly 4000 folks who viewed the original post about the theft, to those that shared it and got word out, which likely prompted the thieves to come to their senses. Also, my most heartfelt kudos to the fine folks at The HiVE and Red Hen Bakery who discovered that the sculpture had been returned. To the thieves, thanks for taking a few years off my life, you (insert rampant onslaught of expletives here), but perhaps there is hope for you yet...
