A: If you can get the host's phone number, and you become a regular, yes, you can occasionally sign up early. Don't a
buse this courtesy. Q: Does it cost anything? A: No, and there is no drink minimum, however we are a business, so we appreciate it if you buy some drinks while you're here! Q: I'm like 20 years and 11 months old. Can I just come in and play then leave? A: No, silly. It's a bar. You have to be 21 and have your valid ID with you. Q: Can I do comedy? How about slam poetry? Spoken word? Dramatic readings? Cooking demonstrations? Q: Are you sure? A: Yes. Q: I have a whole band. Is it cool if I bring them? A: Yes, however we will not give you more time to set up. So, think about your lineup. Usually, this means don't bring amps or drums. Also, let the host know what your setup is when you're signing up. Q: My act has two people. Does that mean we can do four songs or 20 minutes? Each act gets one slot of two songs/ten minutes. Q: So... I should sign each of us up, and we get two slots? A: You can do this, however separate yourselves so it doesn't look like one long set. Also, make sure to "feature" one of you on each slot, and the other is just backup. If you opt to do this, you may get bumped or have your sets shortened if it's crowded. Q: Do you have instruments and mics I can use? A: Yes, we have a house guitar (Ibanez acoustic with a pickup) and a house piano. We also have plenty of house mics, DIs, and cables, and we can accommodate pretty much any instrument you bring. Q: Are covers allowed? How about originals? A: Yes, any music is allowed. Q: Can I use a backing track on my phone? A: Yes, unless it is a karaoke-style backing track. We host actual karaoke on Tuesdays, so come then! Or, find someone to play your song for you if you only sing.
