Today we honor Juneteenth with a throwback to this stellar performance by Nicholas Phan and Palaver Strings on the Noe Music MainStage this past April.

They performed their Grammy-nominated album “A Change is Gonna Come” to a captivated audience reminding us of the power of music to galvanize community and fight for change.

Join us on Sunday, May 10, for “Together We Rise: A Mother’s Day Concert” which brings Noe Music’s season to a powerful and heart-forward close with an afternoon of collective expression, solidarity, and celebration. In a time when power is being wielded as a divisive force, this gathering affirms the power of music to unite and uplift.

What better way to honor the mothers who create life than through an event that celebrates our shared humanity through song. Featuring the radiant voices of the San Francisco Girls Chorus under Valérie Sainte Agathe, alongside internationally celebrated artists Mahsa Vahdat (Iranian singer), Diana Gameros (Mexican singer/songwriter) and Clarissa Bitar (Palestinian-American oud virtuoso).

Palaver Strings really embody the ethos of Noe Music. They are an ensemble of thirteen musicians who are devoted to collaborative music making and using music as a vehicle for social change.

They believe in music as a bedrock for community and civic life and they have created an ensemble that leads with these beliefs in every aspect of how they organize and what they choose to create.

We hope you will join us this weekend for Noe Music Kids where they will performing dances from around the world and our mainstage concert featuring “A Change is Gonna Come” - a Grammy-nominated album of protest songs.
