The San Francisco Transgender Film Festival (SFTFF) organizes an annual transgender film festival and other events in San Francisco. www.SFTFF.org

The San Francisco Transgender Film Festival (SFTFF) transforms culture and builds community through the power of transgender cinema. SFTFF screens films that promote the visibility of transgender and gender variant people and challenge the mainstream media’s negative stereotypes of our communities. We provide opportunities for transgender and gender variant media artists, build community through our film and performance events, and engage our audiences in cross-community dialogue.

✨Reminiscing on some of the films last year and we are all in our feels over باغ عدن (Eden) ✨

🎬Directed by Rustin Zam-Zam Madadi (he/they) is a multidisciplinary storyteller and filmmaker born in Shiraz, Iran, dedicated to preserving the cultural and linguistic heritage of the transgender Iranian diaspora. Their work spans fiction and non-fiction across film, theater, and radio, with a strong emphasis on cultural preservation through sound.🎬

🎉Celebrating trans & GNC storytellers dreaming out loud. We are THRILLED to announce our 2026 Dream Commissions: an investment in the ongoing artistic, creative, and community practices of filmmakers shaping our futures.

This year, we’re honored to award $2,000 commissions to six BIPOC trans, transgender, gender-nonconforming, Indigenous Two-Spirit, non-binary, gender-expansive, and genderq***r filmmakers whose work continues to move culture and imagination.
