Not one but two of my recent reads/listens could only be described as delightful!

The Mash Up by Laura Marie Meyers brought on the middle school nostalgia when the FMC Ruby gets trapped in her MASH game!
I loved the banter-filled romance at the heart of this story. A playful, charming read that asks what happens when the future you once imagined collides with the life, and love, you never saw coming.

The Retirement Plan by Sue Hincenbergs Sue Hincenbergs is a laugh-out-loud, darkly funny cozy mystery where misunderstandings pile up, conversations go hilariously sideways, and well-intentioned people make some very bad decisions. The layers of chaos kept building in the best possible way!

Highly recommend adding both of these to your TBR when you want a delightful read (or listen!). 💖📚

Around here, we believe in celebrating the big wins, the small wins, and all the little milestones along the way. And today, we’re celebrating 2,000 of you! 🥂📚

What started as an idea to create cozy getaways for women who love books has grown into retreats, book fairs, community events, new friendships, and a community we’re incredibly proud of.

Every follow, like, comment, share, event ticket, retreat booking, and person who tells a friend about Cozy Girls has helped us grow.

We’re still building. Still learning. Still dreaming up what comes next. But today, we’re taking a moment to celebrate how far we’ve come.

📖 Josh K. Stevens is a writer of pulp noir, a librarian, and all around misanthrope! He has published 4 novels and two novellas, in addition to a collection of short stories and a collection of poetry. JKSPulp

📖 Michael A. Wexler writes mysteries, thrillers and pulp noir. His latest novel, KILLER VERSE with Sutra House, was released July 2026.

We are so excited to introduce you to another set of incredible local authors who will be attending our Book Lovers Book Fair this Sunday, September 6 at Pollyanna Brewing & Distilling | St. Charles!

📖: Jamie Lynn Miller writes romance books about men in uniform…and out! Her stories reflect the desire we all have to find “the one,” persevering through trials and heartache for that happy ending. Jamie Lynn Miller

📖: N.M. Yunger is the author of The Good One: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and Justice. Yunger writes about sisterhood, grief, domestic violence, and the pursuit of justice following the murder of her sister, Laura. Through The Good One, she hopes to keep Laura’s story alive while bringing awareness to domestic violence and the lasting impact it has on families. N.M. Yunger

📖: Jeff Cook published his first novel, The Final Girls in May 2026. He’s written and produced scripts for local theatre organizations and wrote, directed and produced a 13-episode web series called Upstaged - The Series (You can find it on YouTube) Jeffery R Cook
