The San Diego Festival of the Arts is produced by The San Diego Festival of the Arts Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization that raises funds to support adaptive sports and recreation programs for San Diegans’ with disabilities.

The San Diego Festival of the Arts has made the difficult decision to cancel this year's festival which was slated for this coming weekend, September 10 and 11, at San Diego Surf Sports Park in Del Mar.

The safety of our guests, volunteers, artists and their artwork, team members and support staff is our greatest concern and due to forecasted dangerous weather and potentially hazardous conditions, we have elected to cancel this year's event.

This annual festival generates funds for local adaptive sports programs supporting thousands of San Diegans with disabilities. Ticket sales, the silent auction and wine and beer sales all benefit The San Diego Festival of the Arts Foundation, Inc., which has raised more than $2.7 million for this cause since 1987.

All existing ticket holders can elect to either receive a refund or may choose to donate their ticket cost to the benefitting foundation; instructions will be sent via email.

Who are we, and why do we keep doing this?
For 36 years!
What started out as a small group looking to provide sports and recreation activities for the disabled, turned into a full-fledged non-profit spanning 36 years and raising $2.7 million for local adaptive sports programs. This mission still gets our crew out of bed each morning. As a core philanthropist on our team, Jim Spievak has volunteered with the festival since day one. His work is not limited to one specific task. He helps artists set up their booths, contributes legal expertise, and runs the Best of Show program. Yet no matter what he does, when you ask him why he does it, the answer is always the same – for the beneficiaries.
