Focusing on your comedic voice

We have the most experienced improv and instructors in town. We focus on your comedic voice, your characters, your sense of playing, the what/why/how of what makes you funny. We don’t waste time with warm ups and learning improv forms. Each minute of each class we ask you to be keenly aware of what is bringing you joy, and to do more of that, because that is what’s going to make your playing rewarding. Paying attention to yourself, and building on the things you do that bring laughter is what we’re all about. We have weekly shows at The Comedy Palace, a Monday show at Winston’s in OB and a Saturday show at Oceanside Brewing Company, which you can participate in when you’re ready. We also have a monthly show at an assisted living facility, playing along with veteran Palace Players and Palace Improv instructors, for you to experience as students (and graduates) of our program, the low pressure, very rewarding joy of bringing laughter to the elderly community who can’t go out to see regular shows. Keep an eye out for our “Whet Your Palace Palette” free workshops so you can try us out before you enroll. Get serious about your comedic voice!
