Is everyone else making their badges from home? Share them here! As much as it stinks that the pandemic has stopped the world, it’s kind of neat to be able to ‘attend’ Comic-Con without having to squeeze into a middle seat for 15 hours! -Ben

This year, San Diego Comic-Con won't draw the same long lines, crowded corridors, or bustling downtown streets that have become synonymous with the yearly pop culture convention.

Many volunteers across the convention industry work really hard and dedicate their time putting on a great show for attendees. Earlier this week the industry lost a wonderful man due to stage 4 cancer. This man has staffed several conventions in southern california including the San Diego area.

After starting this page and meeting industry leaders, I happend to join the convention industry myself. I learned a lot about what it takes to put on these conventions. John Ramirez was a a leader, mentor, and friend to many of us who are involved in the industry. He has given so much of himself and his resources to the community. Thank you John for that amazing person. Because of many people like you, it brings all of us together to enjoy the things that we all love. -Rhiana

Going through all the offsite events today, unfortunately got denied wristbands for entry to Conan earlier this morning but went through the Amazon Prime Experience, a few events at Petco, got some Veronica Mars sunscreen in the Gaslamp and now checking out The Walking Dead. No badge necessary for these events so if you don’t have one there is still a ton to do! What is your current favorite offsite event? -Ben
