IMFF is one of the first (perhaps the first) International Film Festivals exclusively for movies shot with mobile phone cameras for the big screen. San Diego's International Mobile Film Festival was created as a page that facilitates tagging on this platform. Congratulations to all the filmmakers from all over the planet who have submitted films shot with smartphone cameras!

The International Mobile Film Festival has concluded its final call for submissions to the 15th Annual Edition. All submissions are now closed.

Your films are in good hands. Whether your film is selected or not, you already won because you completed your film! That’s big!

We are watching, reviewing and will be making official selections soon. We don’t just watch your films once. We watch them all and then we begin to re-watch and review each film.

We will be communicating with everyone through email. If you have a school email address or work email address that may be dormant or not working, please make sure that you update your email address.

We are working on finalizing selections asap and the process takes a bit of effort from you and much more from us. Don’t let our communications fall through the cracks due to unresponsive emails. Let’s celebrate this awesome community together and wait until you watch the films!

The International Mobile Film Festival is closing it's extended call for full length feature films shot with only mobile phones (10% aerial drone is acceptable). The extended deadline is December 24.

IMFF provides a level playing field for independent filmmakers using the most accessible camera in the wold, since 2009.

Feature films are narrative films, non-vertical, no AI, between 1-2 hours in length. It's a tough competition. Submit your masterpiece today!
