Long time Choraleer member Donna Calloway passed away.
Her sister posted of her passing.

Dearest Friends,
I am Donna’s sister, Elena Johnston, and I am posting this sad news on Donna’s page because many of you may not know, that our Sweet & Lovely Donna has left us and returned Home to her Mother & Father !
She peacefully left us on Monday, Nov. 12th, 2018.
Her Memorial Service will be
Monday, December 3rd
St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church
7710 El Cajon Blvd.
La Mesa, Ca 91942
Memorial Mass will be at 11a-12p with a reception following in the parish hall.

Sorry to be the one bringing you some sad news.

Warren Roberts, Carolyn Roberts husband passed away this morning.

There will be a service on Monday, September 11th at 2:00 p.m., and viewing at 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Mausoleum, 4300 Imperial Avenue, San Diego, California.
Carolyn asked to have whoever is there from the Choraleers sing You'll Never Walk Alone.

Esther was with us in spirit being a Member At Large for Serra Naders Choraleers group that the California Women's Choral convention was a huge success. Had to share the letter from the 2016-17 CWC Board of Managers:

Hello Everyone,
We are very happy to be able to report that the financial success of the 2017 CWC convention and concert, California Dreamin', exceeded our expectations. The Board of Managers and the CWC 2017 Convention committee members extend our sincere thanks to all the California Women’s Choruses and the Members at Large whose participation, contributions and support were integral to achieving such a successful and fun event.

Following are a few indicators of the success of Convention 2017:
177 CWC members registered and attended the convention (plus spouses and other guests);
approximately 160 members sang in the combined chorus at the Sunday concert;
over 400 concert tickets were sold;
attendance at the concert, including paying guests, complimentary guests and CWC members themselves was in excess of 550 people;
over $8300 in scholarship money was raised through direct donations and the sale of scholarship raffle tickets.
Because of this financial success, the Board of Managers voted unanimously to award an additional $1000 to each of the three $2000 scholarship winners, and award $500 to two vocal students who had been recognized with an Honorable Mention, bringing the total monetary awards to the vocal winners to $10,000.

Additionally, to thank the CWC choruses for their support of this endeavor and in keeping with the objectives stated in the CWC By-Laws, we are sending each CWC chorus $150.00 to be used specifically for the purchase of music for the chorus. These checks will be mailed soon to the Music Director of each chorus. Thank you for helping CWC continue our dual mission of encouraging choral singing among women and supporting aspiring vocal students through a music award program.

It was such an incredible concert up at Glendale. There's a huge demand on a DVD of our concert that many people want to order it.
