We truly appreciate everyone involved in making this event a success! We host this event with community in mind and it fills our cup to celebrate moments where we can come together in community and enjoy delicious soul food from across the diaspora, groove to soulful sounds, and just vibe out with one another! 🙌🏾

We hope you all enjoyed your experience, please continue to support the vendors you enjoyed, and we look forward to catching everyone next year! 🤗

The San Diego Soul Food Festival is TOMORROW! 🎉🍽️ Get ready to eat, vibe, and celebrate with some of the best soul food in the city. We’ve got amazing vendors, good music, and even better energy waiting for you.

Check out the incredible vendors who will be bringing the flavor tomorrow. We’re so grateful to have them as part of this celebration. And to our attendees—don’t forget to pack your essentials and bring those good vibes. Soul food is made with care and love, so please be patient with our vendors as they serve up each dish with heart and soul.

We also want to give a big shoutout to the San Diego Urban League for sponsoring this year’s event! The festival is proud to support their Back to School Drive, and we encourage everyone to bring new school supplies to donate to this wonderful cause. 📚✏️📓✨ (Swipe to see what’s needed!)

Tasting Tickets are officially sold out, (but you can of course still purchase meals from vendors) and August 8th is the LAST day to grab your $10 General Admission tickets before they go up to $20 the day of.

We’re getting so close to the San Diego Soul Food Festival and the excitement is building. Up next in our vendor spotlight is Banks The Butcher BBQ, a fan favorite you won’t want to miss.🍗🔥

Founded by San Diego native and former Kentucky University running back Terrell “Banks” Bankhead, brings southern soul to the grill. Inspired by time spent cooking alongside his grandmother “BM,” Terrell transformed childhood memories into a mouthwatering recipe book that sparked a citywide buzz and a BBQ brand unlike any other. 🍽️

You can expect macaroni and cheese, baked beans, smoked pork sandwiches, ribs and more bbq classics.
From the kitchen to the cookout, Banks The Butcher BBQ serves up legendary flavor that keeps folks coming back for more!💪🏽
