TEAM BUILDING WITH A COMPETITIVE EDGE

Slot car racing had its heyday in the mid-1960s, when miniature raceways became a national obsession, and competitors gathered around tracks the way people gathered at bowling alleys and pool halls.

Now, that hands-on racing energy is back at AutoVino.

We recently hosted a team-building event with Meta in partnership with Gatsby’s Garage Slot Car Events, one of our premier partners for interactive corporate experiences.

The evening brought together food, wine, Formula 1 on the screens, classic and exotic cars in the room, and a full slot car racing setup designed for real competition.

This week's live music features the MegAcoustic Duo, comprised of members from The Megatones, a Bay Area favorite renowned for their dance grooves, silky vocals, and strong harmonies.

The G-Wagen Group Rolls Into AutoVino

Sheri, the G-Wagen group’s meetup coordinator, helped organize a G-Wagen gathering at AutoVino, uniting owners of one of the most iconic designs in the automotive world.

The G-Wagen needs little explanation. Its upright stance, flat sides, squared-off body, and unmistakable presence trace back to its military roots, yet still define its place in today’s luxury performance world.

Black, silver, white, and red G-Wagens lined up in front of AutoVino while owners gathered around them, comparing builds and pointing out the details only another owner would catch. THE CARS THAT HELD ATTENTION

Cars & Cabernet is a monthly gathering at AutoVino that celebrates both rare automobiles and exceptional wine. Each third Sunday, car enthusiasts come together to see iconic vehicles—Ferraris, Porsches, and more—while the Wine Garden offers a relaxing space to enjoy estate-grown Cabernet. It’s an afternoon where automotive passion meets warm community and fine wine.

A few cars held attention longer than the rest.

• Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada sat low and composed, its Italian design both subtle and striking. At first glance, it didn’t shout for attention like some cars, but that was part of its allure. Guests paused, drawn in by the balanced lines, the understated elegance. They leaned closer, tracing the curves, and stayed, letting each detail sink in.

• Maserati Barchetta stood out with its open cockpit and precise, balanced design. From every angle, it spoke of performance and purpose. Guests gathered around, drawn by its clean lines and the promise of a true driver’s car.

• Shelby Cobra doesn’t just sit in the lineup—it dominates it. Its short wheelbase and wide stance give it a bulldog presence, and the raw power under the hood is as unmistakable as its silhouette. Every time it roars to life, it reminds you why it’s a legend in the world of racing.

INTO THE WINE GARDEN

After the cars, guests gathered in the Wine Garden. They took their seats at the tables, and the buzz of conversation grew as people relaxed. The energy slowed—once they stopped walking, they stayed, enjoying the food, wine, and each other’s company.

FROM THE DINER BUS KITCHEN

The kitchen operates out of a 1955 Flxible diner bus, complete with a built-in wood-fired oven. Nate, our pizzaiolo, crafts each pizza by hand, while Nick manages the line. The food comes out quickly—hot pizzas, tri-tip, salmon, and burgers—inviting guests to linger and enjoy.

CABERNET FROM THE SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS

Woodside Vineyards wines come from the Santa Cruz Mountains. This side of the appellation produces Cabernet with structure and depth, shaped by elevation, coastal influence, and varied microclimates.
