A FAREWELL TOAST TO BILL & SUE

What began as a COVID workaround became one of the best parts of AutoVino.

When AutoVino relocated from Menlo Park to San Carlos during COVID, the Wine Garden provided us with a way to welcome people outdoors while meeting the health department’s requirements at the time.

Initially, it was a practical solution. Over time, it grew into something more meaningful. It became a place where familiar faces turned into friends, and friends became part of the AutoVino family.

Bill and Sue were part of that story.

They joined us weekend after weekend, bringing warmth and engaging conversation that made the Wine Garden feel like home. Soon, they will be relocating to Roseville to spend more time with their grandchildren.

We are happy for them. We already miss them.

We raised a glass to Bill and Sue with gratitude. Thank you both for being part of the AutoVino family. We wish you love, laughter, and many happy days with your grandchildren in Roseville.

SAN MATEO CARS & COFFEE | FLAG DAY EDITION AT AUTOVINO

San Mateo Cars & Coffee will host a Flag Day Edition at AutoVino on Sunday, June 14. This event brings together cars, coffee, families, and the local Peninsula car community for an enjoyable Sunday morning. Attendees can enjoy the company of local car owners, explore the AutoVino showroom, and visit the car museum, which will be open during the event.

CARS, COFFEE, AND FLAG DAY

Flag Day kicks off a morning dedicated to American car culture, featuring local owners and a variety of classic cars, modern performance vehicles, and specialty automobiles from the Peninsula. Guests can admire the cars as they arrive, chat with owners, take photos, and enjoy the AutoVino vibe with Honey and Daisy, the resident Labradors.

Car owners share details about their vehicles, while families pause for photos, creating an ideal setting for conversation and connection.

TEAM BUILDING WITH A COMPETITIVE EDGE

Slot car racing had its heyday in the mid-1960s, when miniature raceways became a national obsession, and competitors gathered around tracks the way people gathered at bowling alleys and pool halls.

Now, that hands-on racing energy is back at AutoVino.

We recently hosted a team-building event with Meta in partnership with Gatsby’s Garage Slot Car Events, one of our premier partners for interactive corporate experiences.

The evening brought together food, wine, Formula 1 on the screens, classic and exotic cars in the room, and a full slot car racing setup designed for real competition.

The result was exactly what great team building should be: fun, fast, competitive, and easy for everyone to jump into.

Guests enjoyed the AutoVino setting while racing head-to-head on the track, watching F1 in the background, and sharing food and wine throughout the evening.
