Que Retro Arts and Curious Twins are beyond thrilled to invite you to a monumental milestone: The 10th Annual San Antonio FRIDA Fest. This year is a true homecoming as we return to our roots, celebrating a decade of art and culture at our original location, the Wonderland of the Americas Mall.
Join us on Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM for this free, family-friendly event.
Celebrating A Decade of Frida - 10 Years of Empowerment:
Since 2016, FRIDA Fest has been more than just a festival; it is a movement. We continue to honor the "F.R.I.D.A." spirit—celebrating women who are Fabulous, Respectful, Independent, Determined, and Assured. Inspired by the enduring legacies of icons like Frida Kahlo, Selena Quintanilla, and Gloria Anzaldúa, this 10th-anniversary celebration highlights the artists and artisans who keep our heritage vibrant.
The Legendary Frida Look-A-Like Contest - World Record Attempt:
The crown jewel of our 10th year is the return of the iconic Frida Kahlo Look-A-Like Contest. This year, to compete for the Guinness World Record for the largest single gathering of people properly dressed as Frida, Fridas of all ages and genders are encouraged to participate! We are calling on all fans to help us create a sea of Fridas! We are aiming for our largest gathering yet, so don the traditional floral crowns and bold attire to help us honor the artist's visual legacy in spectacular fashion. Additional details to come!
Experience Cultura:
The mall will be transformed into a cultural hub featuring a massive handcrafted Artisan Mercado with over 60 local vendors and galleries. Throughout the weekend, you can immerse yourself in live performances, a curated art show, and a community fashion show. We also invite the community to participate in our Community Altar by bringing photos of departed loved ones and strong women who have shaped their lives.
