In 2005, Tallahassee Florida "Two bored co-workers, Chris Cantey and Erni Walker, sat in an office pretending to edit video footage of an insurance seminar. To take a break from the monotony of escrow lectures, they decided to play with the random word generator on Chris's website. They decided it would be a holiday during which BBQ was eaten every night of the week." Meat Week has since extended

into several chapters across the country. In 2013, we founded the official SA Meat Week chapter and took our journey across San Antonio to experience all things meaty! Our journey took us to local family operated BBQ joints, food trucks to one of SA's oldest meat markets! Join us on our upcoming journey where we will eat meat and repeat for 8 days!
