During our last Leadership Labs, one thing became very clear, no matter the title, specialty, or size of the organization, operators are asking many of the same questions. This is when we knew we had to bring Leadership Labs back for other practice owners to learn to scale with skill and precision.

But don’t just take our word for it..

Kyle Flynn from Program Dental talked about wanting a better understanding of “the operational and HR end of things” so he could help position his organization for growth.

Dr. Greg Wu shared that “we went to dental school, not business school,” and how valuable it was to openly learn from others navigating similar struggles.

Sam Genio from Epic 4 Specialty Partners spoke about the importance of learning “how to grow in the right way” while keeping partners, patients, and teams aligned.

And Dr. Hendrik Lai reminded the room that “perfection is the enemy of good,” encouraging operators to stop waiting for perfect conditions before taking action.

Different perspectives. Different organizations. One shared realization: Growth gets harder when leaders try to figure everything out in isolation.

That’s why Dental Leadership Labs was designed to be practical, collaborative, and deeply focused on the real operational decisions emerging groups are navigating right now.

Leadership Labs is a complimentary, hands-on working session built for clarity and practical next steps. The Dental Leadership Summit is the full immersive experience with curated workshops, top DSO operators, meaningful peer connections, and a retreat environment intentionally designed to help leaders think bigger and execute at a higher level.

One helps you sharpen the next move. The other expands what’s possible after it. The leaders who get the most value don’t choose between the two. They leverage both. Watch the video for the full breakdown!

As we prepare for both Leadership Labs and the Dental Leadership Summit, we wanted to share a clearer look at how these experiences are designed to work together.

Leadership Labs is a complimentary, hands-on working session built for clarity and practical next steps. Smaller rooms. Focused conversations. Real operational challenges.

Amy Cicchetti, co-founder of Harmony Transformative Cosmetic Dentistry, shared that one of the biggest takeaways from Leadership Labs Charlotte was finally seeing the larger operational picture behind growth.

Not just what it takes to expand, but the risks, blind spots, and structural challenges that can quietly build underneath a growing organization if they aren’t addressed early.

That’s a big part of why Dental Leadership Labs exists.

Many emerging groups are moving fast and making major decisions in real time, but rarely get the opportunity to step back and pressure-test the operational side of growth with experienced operators and advisors who have seen where things tend to break down.

The workshops in Dallas are designed to help attendees think more intentionally about scalability, leadership infrastructure, acquisitions, and the systems required to support healthy growth long term.

And just as valuable, connect with other leaders navigating many of the same questions.

One of the reasons we wanted 7 Pillars involved in Dental Leadership Labs Dallas is because they bring a perspective many operators don’t get enough exposure to early enough.

A lot of growing groups focus heavily on operations, production, hiring, and acquisitions, but spend far less time thinking about how ownership structure, compensation models, and deal decisions impact the long-term health of the organization.

That’s what makes their workshop, Planning the End While Scaling the Business, so valuable.

This session is designed to help operators better understand how sophisticated buyers and investors evaluate organizations, what actually creates long-term enterprise value, and where groups unintentionally create friction that limits future optionality.

We’re also excited to have Jake Berry helping facilitate the workshop. As Chief Development Officer at MB2 Dental, Jake has helped lead more than 500 transactions and played a major role in scaling one of the largest dental organizations in the country through multiple investment cycles. His perspective brings a real-world operator lens to the conversation around growth, partnerships, and long-term scalability.

At HR for Health, we see every day how leadership structure, operational consistency, and people systems directly affect the scalability of a business. We’re excited to partner with 7 Pillars and leaders like Jake to help operators connect those dots earlier while they still have flexibility in front of them.

One of the most honest takeaways we heard coming out of our last Leadership Labs came from Dr. Hendrik Lai:
“Perfection is the enemy of good. Just make a start.”

That mindset showed up throughout the entire event.?Not because operators had everything figured out, but because they were willing to openly talk through the problems they were actively navigating: growth decisions, leadership strain, integration challenges, systems that no longer scale the way they used to.

What made the room valuable wasn’t that everyone had the answers. It was that people were willing to pressure-test ideas together and walk away with practical things they could actually implement Monday morning. That’s the goal of Dental Leadership Labs Dallas. Not passive inspiration. Not surface-level networking.

A working environment where emerging groups can think more clearly about the realities of scaling and leave with sharper frameworks for what comes next.

Dental Leadership Labs Dallas was designed around a simple idea:

Operators need space to work through the decisions that become exponentially more important as organizations grow. That’s why every session is built around practical application, not passive learning.

One of those leaders is Mike Gergens, CEO of EviDent Alliance.

Mike has spent his career building and scaling high-performing organizations inside the dental industry and has played a role in multiple successful strategic and private equity exits. Today, he leads EviDent Alliance, a doctor-owned, doctor-led DSO focused on accelerating growth, strengthening performance, and positioning the organization for its next major value event.

His perspective is grounded in real operational experience:
what it takes to scale sustainably, how leadership impacts enterprise value,
and where organizations either create alignment or complexity as they grow.

The goal of Leadership Labs isn’t inspiration.
It’s helping operators leave with sharper frameworks, clearer thinking, and better decision-making tools for the stage of growth they’re actually in.

One thing we kept hearing after Charlotte:
“We didn’t realize how many other groups were dealing with the exact same challenges.”

Kyle Flynn from Program Dental talked about finally understanding the operational and HR side of growth from a mergers and acquisitions perspective. Dr. Greg Wu shared how valuable it was to learn the business side of dentistry in a room where people openly discussed both successes and struggles. And Dr. Hendrik Lai said one of his biggest takeaways was simply to start executing, even imperfectly.

Different backgrounds. Different organizations. Same reality.
That’s why Dental Leadership Labs was built differently.

The operators in these rooms aren’t just looking for motivation. They’re trying to solve real problems around acquisitions, leadership, systems, and scale before those issues compound.

Dallas is next.

The operational cracks in a growing group usually don’t show up all at once.
They show up slowly: a location with inconsistent onboarding, a manager handling employee issues differently than everyone else, a founder becoming the escalation point for every people problem across the organization.

At Leadership Labs Dallas, one of our core workshops is focused entirely on helping operators build more scalable people systems before inconsistency starts costing time, culture, and growth.

Led by HR for Health’s Vanessa Buchheit, this session is designed to pressure-test how your organization handles hiring, onboarding, accountability, communication, and leadership across multiple locations, and where friction is quietly building underneath the surface.

The goal isn’t more process for the sake of process. It’s creating systems that support growth without requiring the founder to carry the entire operation themselves.
