Love the customers selection....of course it mimicked another scroll I had already made for the Utah Japan Festival / Nihon Matsuri This is a 2 Step style scroll. The Chumawashi (middle cloth) is a shoken (pure silk) and the Ten/Chi is a benberugu cloth. (Mixed silk). This Tapestry Frame is a two tone that holds a 5x7 photo in portrait format. The customer wanted a green and light blue cloth. I experimented with a new cording, but I will not use it because it is slightly too thick. This tapestry frame was made for a bonsai practitioner that wanted a scroll that he could paint his own items in order to use for bonsai displays. The middle blue cloth has a white flower karakusa and is a benberugu (mixed silk) cloth. The top and bottom cloth is a taupe shike cloth. It turned out very nice.
