SOUND: BAND PLAYS SATIN DOLL IN THE BACK GROUND UNTIL INTERUPPTING IT WITH Lips that touch liquor.

Yesterday mornin', I know this is gonna sound crazy, alright, we were busking at the square. You know, "The Carolina Mud Band" that's Harmon, Grace, Sam, Suzanne, and Jeff, oh, and Me too... This is a gonna sound crazy, but I swear it's a true story. Anyways ... We'd each made a buffalo nickle and three wheat pennies and it just wasn't even noon yet. Whooo! Well I tell yah what we sang "Momma" so good that mornin' the sun came up to hear us!!! We were proud to be singin' to the sweet Salisburian's puttin' change in our hat as they walked to work. Buskin' in Downtown Salisury in 1933 is fun but rarely profitable. Guess what though??? No beans and bacon for our lunch that day, Noooooo Sir! It was gonna be Sidewalk Deli steak sandwiches all around for my Buskin' brethren that's what we would earn if we just kept at it.
