The SHS Booster Club is composed of individuals who sincerely have an interest in working together to assure our children have the proper and safe equipment needed in any one of our twenty-three sport teams! Who can belong to the Booster Club? Membership is not restricted to parents. School staff members, alumni, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, neighbors, coaches or anyone interested in promoting athletics at our high school are welcome to join! What Boosters receive:
As a member you will be eligible to vote and make important decisions as a booster club member regarding the budget, expenditures, fundraising, election of new members and other means of supporting athletics. An opportunity to meet and work with other parents while supporting your child’s athletic participation. Please note, with all the budget cuts and increase in prices for athletic expenses each year, our children are going to need the booster funding more than ever. Let’s not wait until it’s too late! What is required of me as a Booster Member? Fundraising is our main objective to be able to obtain the funds necessary for providing for our children. You can assist on one fundraiser, or many…whatever time you can spare. You may allocate your fundraising to your children’s sport through working bingo or work fundraisers during certain seasons. We appreciate any help members can provide. Booster meetings are held year round. Again, whatever times you can spare as a volunteer will be appreciated. What has the Booster Club done for Salinas High School? We have purchased vans, equipment and uniforms for all sports, we help pay for awards, banquets, travel, and offer scholarships.
