Get ready for a WILD learning adventure at this year’s Teacher Safari, July 22 & 23 at Rolling Hills Zoo - with Smoky Hill Education Service Center & RHZ Education Staff!

Whether you’re a first-timer or a returning explorer, this workshop is full of hands-on ideas to spark imagination in your classroom!

Take a peaceful evening stroll through our beautiful Zoo. Pro Tip: Come earlier in the afternoon and stay into the evening to make the most of your visit! Think of it as extended Zoo hours + a little extra magic!

Due to flooding, State Street is currently closed. If you’re traveling from I-70, please note that Hedville Road could also close if rain continues.

To prepare for our annual ZooLaLa fundraiser, the Overlook Restaurant will close at 2 PM and the Zoo & Wildlife Museum will close at 4 PM TODAY, Thursday, May 28, as we transform our space for this special evening event!

Don't forget! Walkabout Wednesdays begin next Wednesday!

Mornings are magical at the Zoo. ☀️🐾 Every Wednesday in June & July, from 8-9 AM, is Walkabout Wednesday!

Come on out and take in a peaceful early-morning stroll before the Zoo opens. Watch keepers begin their day, enjoy the cool morning air, and experience the Zoo as it wakes up!

Stay through past 9 AM and turn it into a full Zoo day adventure!

Please note: not all animals may be up and out just yet during this early morning experience.

Spa day!🦏🛁 Mama Evey is showing baby Creed the art of the perfect mud wallow! The mud helps protect rhinos’ sensitive skin by acting as a natural sunscreen, bug repellent, and cooling station on warm days.

Moments like these do more than make us smile, though. They help us connect with these incredible animals. That connection inspires people to care, learn, and support conservation efforts that protect rhinos and wildlife around the world. 💚
