SAN to ALB via DEN - but on the way to the Hudson Valley, so our western wool hat is appropriate. We always get questions every time we travel about the hat, so we’d better give them a shoutout. We discovered Scala and their “crushable packable water repellant” hats from a sheep rancher at the ASI convention one year. It squishes and unsquishes beautifully, and has definitely been through the wars on our travels. We’re not sponsored by them, but would welcome that in a heartbeat, because it is go-to item in the Backyard Green Films universe. The hat strings you’ll see on the band these days are compliments of our crochet-happy niece, and are hand made from various producers — all colors and fibers from our travels. We have one to match every pair of socks Elara owns!
