Today we have Riley Henricksen! RJ has been in theater since her sophomore year and is a newly inducted thespian! She has been Katherine in our Student Directed One Acts, Glory and Rhonda in Almost, Maine, and finally Ms. Norbury in Mean Girls. Her plans after high school are to attend Western Oregon University and eventually become an archeologist! We will miss you, RJ!

Today, we have Jocelyn Gomez Tejeda! Jocelyn has been in theater since her freshman year, and is a one star thespian! She played Elsie in Calamityville Terror, An ensemble member in Mean Girls, and lastly Megan in Puffs. Her favorite theater memory was meeting her best friend Leah during Mean Girls auditions! They have been inseparable ever since. After high school, Jocelyn plans to attend the University of Portland for nursing and maybe a minor in theater. We will miss you, Jocelyn!

Today, we have Edgar Jaramillo Garibay! Edgar has been in theater since his sophomore year, and is a one star thespian! He has played a nurse in Romeo & Juliet, along with an ensemble member in Little Shop of Horrors. He has also supported us by being a part of the house crew for Almost, Maine and Mean Girls. After high school Edgar plans on attending Portland State University to major in mechanical engineering and get a minor in business administration. We will miss you, Edgar!

Today, we have Leah Rodriguez Garcia! Leah started in theater this year, and is a newly inducted thespian! She has been in Mean Girls as an ensemble member, and played Harry in our recent show, Puffs. Her favorite theater memory is the after show dinners. After high school, Leah plans on studying bio health sciences at OSU. We will miss you, Leah!

🎭 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🎭

Today, we have Niccole Melton! Nik has been in theater since their sophomore year and is a 1 star thespian! They have been on set design and part of the running team for Little Shop of Horrors, and have been an assistant stage manager for Almost, Maine and Mean Girls. Nik’s favorite memory in theatre is their first closing night for the production of Little Shop of Horrors. Seeing all of their hard work paying off, the walk through the theatre with their family and friends and the party after, they say the whole experience was just unforgettable. After high school, Nik plans to go to OSU for Veterinary Medicine/Science with the hope of getting their doctorate. We will miss you, Niccole!

We closed our production of Puffs last night! It was an evening of mixed emotions. Some students ending their Royal Scots Theatre journey, and some just starting out. This show also marks Torres' 20th main stage production at McKay! (And Ms. Wickham's first!)

It's a true honor to work with these incredible artists and storytellers. There is nothing better than coming together to create art on stage for others to experience with us. This process was full of silliness and laughter and it was exactly what we needed to end the 25-26 school year.

🎭SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🎭

Today, we have Robin Dees! Robin has been in theater since his freshman year, and he is a 3 star thespian! Robin has been a spotlight operator for Romeo & Juliet, costumes lead for Little Shop of Horrors, stage manager for Almost Maine and Mean Girls, and finally the sound lead for Puffs. Robin has also competed at state last year and this year with his costume designs for Little Shop and Stage Management for Mean Girls. Lastly, he has served as a TTO member since his sophomore year. His favorite memory from theater is the entire cast and crew of Almost Maine giving him a group hug after receiving the tech jumpsuit. We will miss you, Robin!

Today, we have Adelayde Uhlman! Addie has been in theater since their junior year, and they are a newly inducted thespian! They have been the costume, hair and makeup team lead for Puffs and Mean Girls, while being the sound tech for Almost Maine! Addie has also competed at state this year with their costume designs for Mean Girls, which qualified for nationals! Lastly, they served as a troupe thespian officer this school year. After high school, they plan to become a hairstylist. We’ll miss you, Addie!

🎭SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🎭

Today, we have Zyla Wymore! Zyla has been in theater since her freshman year, and she is a 2 star thespian! She has done lighting and set design and has been part of the running team for our shows Puffs, Mean Girls, Almost Maine, and Little Shop of Horrors! After high school, Zyla plans to go to Portland and study at Pacific Northwest College of Art with some scholarships she’s earned. She also plans to find a nearby community theater to help with to continue her technical work. We will miss you, Zyla!
