We have started processing our pasture raised poultry! We are so thankful to have already had many satisfied customers! See our pricing sheet and special offers.

Our birds are raised in our brooder houses until they are 3 weeks old, at which point they are moved into our large moveable coops (“Nugget Mobiles”) that are rotated on pasture daily. The pasture they are on does not receive any pesticides or herbicides! In addition to grass, we use Tucker Milling Non-Medicated, all natural and locally sourced feed from Guntersville, AL.

Our broiler flock is growing fast! Unlike commercial poultry houses, we raise our meat poultry in moveable coops that are rotated on pesticide-free pasture daily. Free range, pasture raised chicken and goose eggs available! If you haven’t eaten a goose egg before, we highly recommend them! Goose eggs are similar to chicken eggs, but are 2-3x in size, have a richer texture and require more fat when cooking (i.e., olive oil, butter, etc.) to prevent sticking. Beautiful, healthy, fancy roosters in Salem, AL. I have 3 pure bred Silkies (2 black, 1 buff), Mille Fleur d'Uccle/heritage crosses, Silkie/heritage crosses, and several Golden Duck Wing Phoenix/heritage crosses. We are so excited to announce that we have officially started our water buffalo herd!! Meet Brie, Gouda, and Puglia (Pu-Lee-A). A huge thank you to David at Carrell Farms for trusting us with these incredible girls. We have also expanded our chicken flock with our own cross-breeds, aiming for a unique, hearty layer flock. They are very happy in their new pasture location! We currently have fresh pasture raised eggs for sale, $6/dz. Email, PM, call, or text to place your order.

Our water buffalo story:

In 2017, I had the privilege of studying abroad in Italy with the nutrition department at Auburn University. We were studying the mediterranean diet, and part of that included touring a buffalo mozzarella farm (Tenuta Vannulo). I instantly fell in love with these amazing creatures and have longed to go back for the past 8 years. I even joked with the tour guide that I would happily sleep in a stall with the water buffalo. As someone who was raised around cattle, I was blown away by their demeanor, intelligence, rich milk, and heartiness. Finally, after a lot of research, I realized that water buffalo are perfect for our location and found a local breeder who possesses our same values for animal care and sustainability. After 8 long years, my dream has finally come true! This experience has already taught me so much. Sometimes what you seek isn't found by escaping, but by enriching the life you have.
