On Sunday, March 15 – the Ides of March – we’re hosting a one-night-only staged reading of Julius Caesar!

This is a fast-moving story of ambition, loyalty, and power, brought to life through some of Shakespeare’s most iconic language.

Directed by Salem’s own Mayor, Dominick Pangallo, and performed by an incredible cast – this is going to be such a special night! 🎭

DIRECTOR ANNOUNCMENT! We are excited to have Rhiannon Jenkins directing God of Carnage for us.

Rhiannon Jenkins is a director, performer, and teacher whose work centers on intimate, actor-driven storytelling. Her directing credits include Living. Dying. Dead. with Playing Dead Theatre and The Love Circle with Hot Singles in Your Area. She is currently touring her solo show Good Girl, which has received strong reviews at Brighton, Manchester, Edinburgh, Providence, and Rochester Fringe festivals. She is thrilled to be making her Salem Playhouse debut with God of Carnage.

🚨DIRECTOR ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
We are excited to announce that Dominick Pangallo will be directing our upcoming staged reading of Julius Caesar! He is a lifelong Salem resident and holds a Bachelor's degree in theater from Bates College. Previous directing includes Art, All in the Timing, The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged), The Hunting of the Snark and The Spanish Tragedy at Bates College; A Child's Christmas in Wales, The Odd Couple, and Dick Tracy for the Palace Theater (Hamilton, NY), and A Child's Christmas in Wales, Seneca's Oedipus, and The Best Man for the Salem Theatre Company. Dominick currently serves as the 52nd Mayor of the City of Salem.
