🌺Today marks the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month, where we celebrate and appreciate the history, heritage, traditions, voices and contributions of the Hispanic community. Hispanic culture is deeply rooted within the Tampa Bay and surrounding areas from the historical Cuban and Spanish cigar industry in Ybor City to Salvador Dalí’s surrealist works at The Dali Museum.

As our running community flourishes, so do the run clubs anchored in preserving and uplifting Hispanic culture. We’re honored to run with and host some of these local run clubs at St Pete Run Fest while they bring fuerza y pura energía with every mile!

Almosttttttttt there…..we’re at 95,000 pieces of plastic kept out of beloved Tampa Bay. 100,000 before Run Fest Weekend is in our sights…
We’ll also be using corn starch compostable cups for water this year!

Join us Monday September 21 at 6:30pm as our Recycle Run series is headed downtown for a 1 mile walk for International Day of Peace with The Global Love Project 501c3!

We’ll start the walk at North Straub Park and finish with our friends at Movement Monday St. Pete on the St Pete Pier where you’ll collect a free vintage St Pete Run Fest t-shirt, finisher medal and sticker!

We ask that each participant donate a pair of sneakers to recycle which earns you a raffle ticket for prizes, including St. Pete Running company gift cards. Each donated pair benefits Sneaker Impact , the Miami-based, sustainability-focused organization that recycles and repurposes used footwear to prevent them from entering landfills.

Come celebrate peace, prioritize your well-being, and support a great cause!

Our Rookie Runners, Bri and Marissa, took on Boyd Hill Nature Preserve with the half marathon training group this morning and absolutely crushed it! Their journey to running their first 13.1 at the Regenexx NROFL St Pete Half Marathon is going to be epic.

A big kudos to these two powerful woman and all of you training for Run Fest weekend!👏🏽

Today marks 25 years since our nation experienced the unthinkable. We all remember where we were when we heard the news, it is a memory that will never fade. The years may have gone by quickly but the love and support we have in our hearts continue to strengthen for all the brave first responders, the flight crews, the passengers, the city and the 3,000 that did not return to their families that day.

We remember, we honor, we will never forget; today and every day.
