Earlier this month, Scout Troop 21G & cofounder Cindy came together at the Food Pantry to create a vibrant mural celebrating the healthy eating. Over 20 scouts and parents dedicated about 15 hours across a weekend to bring this vision to life, filling the pantry’s lobby with color, joy and a powerful message: Eat the Rainbow. Come el arco iris.

This inspiring project was the brainchild of Anaya Chenna, an Eagle Scout candidate and John Burroughs High School student who has faithfully volunteered at Ritenour Co-Care for the past two years. Her leadership brought together Troop 21G, Ritenour Co-Care, and talented mural artist Cindy Jurado .media of Cindy generously donated her time and talent, sharing a personal connection to the Ritenour community where her family once ran a business, and collaborating closely with pantry volunteers to finalize the design.

As Executive Director Angela Gabel shared, the mural truly brightens their entryway and the spirit of volunteers and clients. More than just art, it reflects the heart of our mission at Ritenour Co-Care: serving Ritenour residents and families experiencing food insecurity with dignity, care, and community support.

We are so grateful to Anaya, Cindy and everyone who made this meaningful project possible.

A special thank you to .0 for making this connection possible 🫶🫶🫶

And thank you 💛
