🎄 The Elves Have Returned to the North Pole! ❄️

As the season wraps up, our Christmas display has officially closed for the year. The Elves have hopped aboard their train and are headed back to the North Pole to rest, recharge, and dream up new adventures for next Christmas.

✨ Thank you to our 8,000+ visitors!
Because of your enthusiasm, generosity, and holiday spirit, we were able to raise over $5,000 for Toys for Tots and The Salvation Army. Your support helps make a real difference for families in our community, thank you!!!

And one more thing—
If you or someone you know has any old Dayton’s animatronics looking for a new home, we’d love to give them a place in our growing collection. Let’s keep the magic alive together.

Until next season… thank you for making this one unforgettable. 🎁💫

🎄✨ Closed for the season✨🎄

The magic of the season is back… and so are the Dayton’s Elves!
We’re excited to announce the opening of our Christmas display — a tribute to the classic holiday windows and the beloved Dayton’s 8th-floor tradition.❄️❤️

This year, the display has grown, with more restored vintage elves, charming new scenes, and a few whimsical little mice who have snuck in to help. You’ll also find a magical backyard scene and our newest storefront window created by fellow collectors Elijah Layne and Bill Ewald.

Bring your family, bring your memories, and step into a world where toys come to life, snow gently falls, and Christmas feels just the way it used to.

-This is a free, family-friendly, outdoor display.
-Kids can bring their letters to Santa and drop them in the mailbox right in front of Santa's Mailroom for a GUARANTEED ARRIVAL!! :)
-We are accepting cash donations, with 100% of the donations split between Toys for Tots and The Salvation Army.
-Most guests experience no lines early in the season. During the final week before Christmas, waits of 10–20 minutes are possible.
-Unfortunately, this display is not wheelchair accessible. Guests will find six steps at the front walk.
-Though the Elves work really, really hard to keep the path clear and sanded, please wear appropriate winter boots and anticipate a snow-packed yard that could be slippery.

Whether you visited Dayton’s as a child or you’re creating new traditions with your own family, we can’t wait to share this season’s display with you.
Come relive the wonder — and let the elves welcome you home for the holidays. ✨

🎁✨ Calling all Dayton’s fans! ✨🎁

Over the years, many of the beloved Dayton’s animatronic characters found new homes after the store closing sale — and we’ve heard from several people looking to “rehome” theirs. Recently, we've even heard of some being thrown away as people downsize. 💖

While we don’t have the funds to purchase pieces, we are accepting donations of original Dayton’s display characters!

We know how to restore, we have the storage space, and we have a place to share with the public again. Our goal is to preserve this magical part of Minnesota history and bring these figures back to life for future holiday displays. 🎄

If you or someone you know has a retired elf, mouse, or other Dayton’s display figure in need of a new home, please message us — we’d love to keep the magic alive! ✨
