Join us at the 2027 Great Minnesota Get-Together! Aug. 26 - Labor Day, Sept. 6
(48039)

The Minnesota State Fair is one of the largest and best-attended expositions in North America, attracting 2 million visitors annually. In addition to being a showcase for Minnesota’s finest agriculture, art and industry, the fair features hundreds of entertainment options including music all around the fairgrounds; educational exhibits; hands-on experiences; more than 60 carnival rides; thousands of competitions; 11 nights of Grandstand shows; and more than 1,600 different foods. The Minnesota State Fair is financially self-supporting and does not receive government funding. Revenue from ticket sales, percentages and fees paid by vendors, facility rental, sponsorships and other sources brings the fair to life - powering memorable experiences, world-class operations, and exceptional care of the historic fairgrounds.

For , let’s rewind 50 years to the 1976 State Fair!

The fair ran for 12 days, Aug. 26 to Sept. 6, with total attendance of 1,266,328 people. America’s Bicentennial celebration gave the grounds a touch of red, white and blue.

Gospel group “Danny L. and the Brewerettes” won the fourth annual MSF Amateur Talent Contest. More than 11,000 exhibitors participated in State Fair competitions, including the pictured Minnesota 4-H Lamb Lead, which is still a tradition today.
