There’s something special about Sunday morning at the Fair. ❤️

After the music, the games, the food, the laughter and all the wonderful chaos of Fair weekend, we gather together as one Nativity family for Outdoor Mass.

For a little while, the Main Stage becomes something more. We sit beside our children, our neighbors and our friends. We pray together. We give thanks. And we remember what sits at the heart of this weekend and this community.

Faith brings us together. And what a beautiful thing it is to celebrate it together, right in the middle of the Fair we love.

🌧️🎡 WE’RE HERE! THE FAIR IS HERE! 🎡🌧️

The games are waiting. Our volunteers are SMILING.

So throw on those rain boots, grab an umbrella, toss the kids in their raincoats and MEET US AT THE FAIR! ❤️💙

Because after all the planning, building, baking, hauling, decorating, volunteering and LOVE that has gone into this weekend, rain isn’t going to wash away our Nativity spirit.

In fact, these might just be the Fair memories we talk about for years. 🥹

Splash in the puddles. Eat the food. Find your people. Laugh in the rain.

🎉 HIP HIP HOORAY! Drop-off was a WIN today! 🚗🙌

A HUGE thank you to our Nativity families for your patience, cooperation, and good spirits this morning. ❤️💙 With a little teamwork (and a whole lot of Fair spirit!), everything went fantastic!

Now we just have to do it one more time tomorrow! 🎡

Remember to give yourself a few extra minutes, follow the traffic directions, drive slowly, and keep an eye out for our volunteers helping everyone get where they need to go.
And no one is late on Fair Day!

Let’s bring that same Fair spirit tomorrow, Nativity! We’ve got this! 📣❤️💙

😂 A little NCF cautionary tale from a mom who learned the hard way…

Hi Nativity families, Mom here! 👋 Let me tell you a funny story.

Funny now. Ha. Ha. 😬

Two years ago, we let our then-2nd grader roam the Fair with her friends. She was having the time of her life! We were feeling pretty good about this newfound independence. Look at us! Relaxed parents! Sitting with neighbors! Enjoying the Fair! 🍻👏

Until… we couldn’t find her.

So naturally, we started looking.

And she started looking.

And apparently ALL OF US WALKED AROUND THE FAIR IN THE SAME DIRECTION, IN ONE GIANT CIRCLE, NEVER ONCE CROSSING PATHS. 😂🤦‍♀️

Then it started getting dark.

The relaxed mom disappeared. The I HAVE LOST MY CHILD AT THE COUNTY FAIR mom arrived. 😳

Finally, someone found us: “Your daughter is at the Info Booth.”
There she was. Safe. But scared and crying.

And later that night? She cried. I cried. We all went home with significantly less County Fair spirit than we started with. 😭😂

So, from one mom who has already conducted this experiment so you don’t have to:
❤️ HAVE A PLAN.

When you arrive, show your kids where the Info Booth is. Tell them that if you get separated, STOP LOOKING FOR EACH OTHER and GO THERE. Because apparently wandering in matching circles is not an effective reunification strategy.
And most importantly:

📱 PUT YOUR PHONE NUMBER ON THEIR ID BRACELET.
*Found in TODAY'S Thursday folders AND the Info Booth.

Tell them: “If you can’t find me, go to the Info Booth and show them this number. They will help find me.”

That’s it. Easy.

They get a little independence. You get to visit with your friends. And hopefully everyone goes home together without anyone sobbing into their pillow.

Learn from this Mom. 😂 Put the bracelet on the kid. Write your number on it. Show them the Info Booth. HAVE A PLAN.

Because nothing says “We’ve Got Spirit!” quite like also knowing where your children are. ❤️💙⭐️
