Happy Earth Day!
Our artisans are a perfect example of how to make something new and beautiful out of discarded "trash" and nature's bounty of shells, driftwood and other found objects to create fantastic and unique one of a kind items. This past weekend at the Eastern Shore Sea Glass and Coastal Arts Festival was a spectacular showcase of that!
We hope you all enjoy your Earth Day today, perhaps picking up trash along your favorite beach or in your neighborhood, working with local community reduce-reuse-recycle programs, or maybe just get out and plant some trees or get your garden ready for the season. Whatever you do, try to get out and enjoy the day!
Love our Earth, it's the only one we have :)

This video of Mary McCarthy discussing her prized collections was playing in the movie theater at the Learning Lounge during the Eastern Shore Sea Glass and Coastal Arts Festival. Here's a shirt version if you missed it or would like to see some of it. We will play it again at upcoming festivals.

Thank you to everyone who came out this weekend both today and those who came out in the challenging weather. It was a safety decision to cancel the festival today by the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and with two campuses, one which is surrounded by water, had very heavy wind gusts which prompted the cancellation. Many vendors decided to stay because their tents were not in danger of flying away or moved to another location on the campus. It's always a challenge with outdoor events and the CBMM had to make a quick decision before the festival was to open. Maryland weather can be tricky and can change quickly. We are so thankful for our understanding festival goers and can't wait to see you again at a future festival. The next two are Holiday Event on Saturday November 21 and the Spring 2027 festival on April 17-18, 2027.

Technically the festival has been cancelled due to high gusty winds but almost all of the vendors are still here waiting for you is you're headed this way. On both Navy Point and Foggs landing side of campus.
