Who needs eggs?

So much better than store bought!

I know what our chickens eat and it’s good! Also know they are taken care of with love and space!

Breeding and raising animals has never been something “new” to us, it’s been a part of our lives for many years. My husband and I actually started out years ago breeding Beagles, and over time that passion grew into a love for farm life as a whole. Eventually, we found ourselves raising chickens, ducks, and later breeding Cockaliers, which completely stole our hearts.
One thing we’ve always tried to do in everything we’ve taken on is give it our absolute best. We have always had a deep passion for animals and for seeing the joy and comfort they bring to others, while also keeping health and long-term well-being a top priority.
There was a season in life where I went back to work for about a year and a half, and during that time things changed around our farm and in our day-to-day life. We are no longer have our puppy business. But I wanted to make this post to share a little of our family’s history and journey with everyone here.
This page may only have a small following, but over the years we’ve had other pages where many families have followed our journey, shared memories, and left reviews about their experiences with us.
If you’d like to learn more about us and our history, feel free to visit those pages and read through the reviews from families who have been part of our journey over the years.
We’re grateful for every person who supported us along the way and every animal that became part of our story. ❤️

New chicks just hatched here and I’m pretty proud of this batch. They come from a strong DNA line with good traits behind them. Can’t wait to watch them develop over the next few months.

People love the cute farm pictures — the baby chicks, rabbits, fresh eggs, little doelings, garden baskets, and happy dogs running around. And yes, those moments are real and they’re rewarding.
But what people don’t see is the hard part behind all of it.
The hours spent outside in the heat, the freezing cold, the pouring rain. Feeding in the dark or before the heat and checking animals through the day, again after sunset. Carrying feed bags, cleaning enclosures, fixing fences, hauling water, watching incubators, treating sick animals, building pens, pulling weeds, and constantly spending money on feed, bedding, supplies, fencing, and vet care.
There are no breaks. No sick days. No sleeping in because you’re tired. Animals still need care no matter how you feel or what the weather is doing.
Chicks need constant monitoring. Rabbits need cleaned and cared for daily. Pullets need protection and proper space. Goats test every fence possible. Gardens take daily work. Dogs need training and upkeep. Something always needs repaired, cleaned, filled, fed, or checked on.
Farming/homesteading is a beautiful life, but it’s not just cute pictures and fun little farm moments. It takes patience, money, sacrifice, exhaustion, and a whole lot of grit.
So if you’re thinking about starting a farm, just know this life is rewarding — but it’s also hard work every single day.
Respect to everybody out here doing it, even on the days nobody sees. ❤️
