Shoutout to all of our AMAZING volunteers that came out and helped us give Corby South some much needed love today! We widened and cleaned out the trailhead, added some arrow signs to help direct traffic from the parking lot to the trailhead, and widened a bunch of corridor. If you missed today but still want to help out, let us know and weโ€™ll get you set up with some equipment! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿชš

Another successful Adopt-a-Parkway Trash Pickup Day in the books! ๐Ÿงค๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ๐ŸŒฑ

Today, we covered the Northwest Parkway from Corby Pond to the Northside Complex/Krug Park entrance. While it wasnโ€™t quite as trashy as we expected (a good problem to have ๐Ÿ˜Ž), we still removed 10 bags of garbage from one of the most beautiful stretches in town.

Huge thanks to Emily Shook, Tommy Marietta, and Rhonda Jacobs for helping keep our parkway clean, green, and looking sharp. ๐Ÿ’š

Special shoutout to Emily for todayโ€™s weirdest find... a shellfish hanging out in the rain overflow on the parkway?! ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ˜‚

Seriously though... can anyone explain that one?

Our next cleanup is scheduled for June 13th! Stay tuned for start time and any rainout updates. The plan is to begin at the Northside Complex and work our way toward Corby Pond.โœจ

Happy Bike to Work Day! ๐Ÿšด๐Ÿ’ผโ˜€๏ธ

๐ŸšฒTo everyone rolling to work today: enjoy the ride, soak up the fresh air, and start your day with a few extra smiles per mile. Wear your helmet, stay visible, follow the rules of the road, and keep the rubber side down.

๐Ÿš—To our friends behind the wheel: thanks for sharing the road! Please slow down, stay alert for cyclists, and give at least 6 feet when passing. A little extra space goes a long way.โค๏ธ

See you on the streets and trails!

Reminder! Group Ride tonight 5:30 leaving from Tubes Bike Shop

๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿšฎ BIG NEWS FROM THE TRAIL CREW ๐Ÿšฎ๐ŸŒฟ

The Saint Joseph Trail Alliance has officially joined the Adopt a Parkway Program with St. Joseph Parks and Recreation!

Weโ€™ll be helping care for the Northwest Parkway corridor from Corby Pond all the way to Krug Park by organizing litter cleanups and helping keep one of our cityโ€™s scenic routes looking sharp. โœจ

This program gives community groups a chance to roll up their sleeves and help keep our parks, parkways, and trails clean, welcoming, and full of hometown pride. A cleaner community makes a huge impact for everyone who lives, rides, runs, walks, and visits here. ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŒณ

Our scheduled SJTA cleanup days are:

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ May 17 - 9AM, meet at Corby Pond Pavilion (by the restrooms)
๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ June 13 - Meetup time and location tbd
๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ July 11 - Meetup time and locations tbd

This is a perfect way to help beautify our park system without wielding a weed-eater or chainsaw... unless thatโ€™s your thing, in which case we should introduce you to our workday crew. ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿชš

Come hang out, grab some trash bags, and help us keep St. Joe looking trail-tastic. ๐Ÿ’š

Weโ€™re excited to announce our new Adopt-A-Trail Program!

This program is all about giving our local riders and trail users a chance to take pride in the trails they love most. Whether itโ€™s your favorite stretch of flowy singletrack or that section you ride every week, you can โ€œadoptโ€ it and help keep it in great shape all season long by trimming back pesky overgrowth and clearing deadfall.

In return for donating your time, volunteers will receive a Saint Joseph Trail Alliance t-shirt and access to all the tools youโ€™ll needโ€”available for pick up at Horizon Cycling. Weโ€™ll also provide guidance to make sure everyone feels confident maintaining trails the right way.

Interested in getting involved? Shoot us a message and let us know which section of trail youโ€™re interested in adopting.

Letโ€™s work together to keep our trails riding great all season long. Many hands make light work!

โ€™Twas the Night Before the Holiday Park Ride ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿšดโœจ

โ€™Twas the night before the group ride, and all through the town,
The bikes sat in silence, all cleaned up and down. ๐Ÿšฒโœจ
The lights on their chargers, the sweaters laid out, ๐Ÿ”‹๐Ÿงฅ
Tomorrowโ€™s big ride had us all buzzing about. ๐ŸŒŸ

Excitement is rising, as 6 PM draws near, ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŽ
River Bluff Brewery will kick off the cheer! ๐Ÿป๐ŸŽ„
Then onward to Krug Park, through arches so bright, ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒŒ
A festive-lit loop on a cold winter night. โ„๏ธ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’ก

Holiday peeps dreaming of rides side by side, ๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿšฒ
Glow sticks, laughter, and holiday pride. ๐Ÿ˜‚โœจ
With one sleep left before this yearly delight, ๐ŸŒ™๐ŸŽ„
Happy Holiday Park Ride Eve to all, and to all a good night! ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ

From all of us at the Saint Joseph Trail Alliance, Happy Thanksgiving. ๐Ÿฆƒ๐Ÿ‚

This season, weโ€™re taking a moment to reflect on what weโ€™re truly grateful forโ€”and at the top of that list is you.

Weโ€™re thankful for every one of our friends, volunteers, trail stewards, riders, runners, hikers, and wanderers. For the familiar faces whoโ€™ve been with us for years, and for the brand-new friends weโ€™ve met along the way. Youโ€™re the reason our trails feel like home.

Wishing all of you a day filled with warmth, gratitude, and maybe even a little time outside. ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿงก
