3 Nights on the River has been a family-friendly concert series that the St. Helens community and visitors have enjoyed attending. In the last few years, we have unfortunately seen a rise in disruptive behavior at this event. We have received complaints about unsupervised groups of youth causing vandalism, being disruptive, damaging vendor areas, and participating in physical fights. Some of these disruptions have required law enforcement to be called to the event. In order to continue the tradition of creating a safe and enjoyable concert experience for everyone, the following rules are being implemented effective June 5, 2023:
No wheels allowed except ADA equipment and strollers for babies and toddlers. No skateboards or scooters allowed inside. No bike riding. No loitering. No firecrackers or noise making devices. No fighting or "playing" that constitutes slapping, kicking, screaming. No vandalism. No climbing on building roofs and privacy walls. No running or chasing. No outside alcohol. No smoking of any kind inside the event area. No "hanging out" behind food carts where electrical wiring is installed. No garbage thrown away on grounds. Main entry by City Hall into the event area will be staffed with monitors. Other locations will be covered by roving monitors. Monitors will supply entry wristbands which must be worn and visible at all times. Wristbands/admission fee is $2. Children under 5 are free. A parent or guardian is responsible for the actions of your underage child. Violation of the rules may result in your wristband being removed and you being asked to leave the event area. Reentry may be permitted depending upon the violation but will include an another entry fee. The purpose of the entry fee is to help ensure the safety of concert-goers and make sure this event remains enjoyable for everyone. Money from the entry fee will help pay for event monitors.
