School will be out soon, making it the perfect time to purchase Tri-Pack yearly passes from the City of St. George. From April 27 through May 23, 2026, families can take advantage of reduced rates to buy the passes, which offer entry into the St. George Recreation Center, the Sand Hollow Aquatic Center (SHAC) and the City Pool for the next 12 months.

Passes start at just $38.25 per month, and provide unlimited access — for up to six family members – to three terrific City facilities.

“This is one of the best deals in town,” said Timmy Key, the City of St. George’s Aquatics Supervisor. “Get in a great workout at the Rec Center, take an aqua fitness class at SHAC, or bring the kids to cool off at the City Pool. Tri-Pack passes provide opportunities for fitness and fun for everyone, of every age.”

Tri-Pack passes may be purchased at any of the three City venues, and will be valid for a full year. Additional family members can be added to each pass for a small fee. Pass holders will enjoy access to fitness equipment, a gym and specialized rooms (for dance, spin, and racquetball) at the Rec Center, plus aquatic amenities at SHAC and the City Pool.

Full Tri-Pack pricing, plus addresses, hours and availability of each facility can be found here. Passes may be purchased online, in person or by phone at (435)-627-4585.

First off, THANK YOU EVERYONE for your concern. I'm ok, just a little shaken up, but I'll be ok. For those of you who don't know what happened, I was robbed yesterday at the gas station. I gathered myself together, my hands were still shaking, I was dizzy and I honestly think I was in shock. My money was gone. I called the police, they were fantastic and called for medical assistance as my blood pressure was through the roof. The police asked me if I knew who did it, and I told them "Yes, it was pump number 5." 😮‍💨🫣😩

We have an amazing athlete at Pine View High School. She has been breaking records this year on the track and field team in the throwing categories, shot put, discus, and javelin. She has broken a 40 year old school record, and the first time in Utah state history that a 50’ barrier has been broken for girls, in which she claimed with the shot put title at 50’3”!
She is currently in the running for Sports Illustrated National Girls Athlete of the week, but she needs our community to rally around her and vote! It’s easy. Follow the link. Scroll to the bottom, and vote for Kiera Sam Fong.

In celebration of the U.S. Navy’s National Parks Week, the Navy’s 32nd Street Brass Band will perform a free concert at Utah Tech University's O.C. Tanner Amphitheater in Springdale, located near the entrance to Zion National Park.

An ensemble within the Navy Band Southwest, the 32nd Street Brass Band is set to perform at 6 p.m. on April 20 at Utah Tech’s O.C. Tanner Amphitheater, located at 144 Lion Blvd. in Springdale.

“This concert is an opportunity to enjoy music and community out in a beautiful landscape,” Benjamin Tyrrel, director of arts programming at Utah Tech, said. “Concert goers will be able to enjoy fantastic music from the Navy’s 32nd Street Brass Band.”

The 32nd Street Brass Band draws on funk, R&B, pop, Latin and jazz influences, combining traditional and contemporary brass band styles with horns, vocals and rhythm players. Navy Band Southwest, based on Naval Base San Diego, is one of the Navy’s oldest continuing musical organizations.

The Navy’s National Parks Week, which runs April 19–26, brings sailors into communities across the country for performances, educational activities and service projects. The effort is a part of the Navy’s Road Trip to 250, a series of stops across the U.S. dedicated to the country’s 250th anniversary.
