Formerly the Alcazar Hotel, the Lightner Museum continues the tradition of providing unique spaces for special events. Built in 1888 as an entertainment center for the luxurious Ponce de Leon Hotel, it was visited by more than 25,000 guests. Countless more used the recreational facilities of the Casino and the world’s largest indoor swimming pool. Now, the former Pool and Mezzanine can accommodate sit down dinners, receptions, dancing, and a variety of entertainment for up to 400 guests. A spacious outdoor terrace, weather permitting, can be used for additional seating. The Grand Ballroom Gallery is suitable for cocktails or passed hors d’oeuvres for 400. For up to 250 guests, the front lobby is perfect for a ceremony and light reception. The carefully restored library and board room provide a quiet, elegant spot for an intimate dinner or special celebration. For an incomparable experience in a world-class setting that is listed on the Register of Historic Places and has hosted celebrations for 125 years, consider the Lightner Museum for your special event.

And the personal touches didn't stop there. The groom's feather bow tie was easily a favorite detail, while personalized oyster shell ring dishes added a little nod to St. Augustine. Even the invitations featured a custom illustration of the Lightner, bringing the venue into the details before the day even began.⁠

We have to talk about these table numbers. The black cards and gold stands tucked into trays of LEGO flowers the groom made added such a fun touch to this reception. These two danced, mingled, took some gorgeous portraits, and clearly had no shortage of loved ones to celebrate with.⁠

Just when you thought the night couldn’t get any more fun, out came the ice cream sandwiches and flaming donuts! After plenty more dancing, they wrapped up the night with a ribbon-filled send-off that was the perfect ending to one seriously fun celebration.⁠

Fasten your seatbelts, because this reception was a whole experience! ⁠

The bridal party kicked things off with an on-theme safety demonstration as a nod to the bride's career. There were a ton of surprises on the dance floor: outfit changes for the bride and her bridesmaids, a choreographed dance for the groom, and a performance from the Crimsonettes.⁠
⁠
After plenty of dancing and celebrating, the newlyweds ended the night with a private last dance before their send-off. Talk about a flight worth taking!⁠
